Obi-Wan is a beautiful boxer. He is very timid right now. He is unsure of new things, so we are working on using the doggie door. Housetraining and crate training are works in progress. Obi loves people, he is just a little hesitant when meeting new people. He would make an EXCELLENT man's best friend for someone that is home most of the time and could give him undivided attention and love. Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hi-folks. I am a new boy. My foster mom calls me Reebok -- partly because I love to run and play and bound about. The records from the shelter say I am 5-6, but my foster mom is pretty sure that I am a little younger than that. I am happy, friendly, sweet and full of life. I love my people and want to be with them. I love every dog I have met too. I know sit, down, and shake. I really need to work on ''come'' and ''stay''. There is just too much to do to stop and stay?! But, my foster mom has started working on those. I take treats gently and I am SUPER sweet to every dog I meet. My current foster sister is older and pretty ... (Read More)cranky. She has yelled at me (as dogs do) in my face, and I just politely walked away. No reaction. That wouldn't be gentlemanly. With other dogs I have great manners. I will admit that my favorite thing to do is sit on your lap. I think if you sit down that I am supposed to sit down on you. My new family is working on that too, and I have improved dramatically in just a few days. Mom says I am super smart. I will be ready to meet families in just a few days. Pretty sure I'll charm someone quickly! Animal ID: 16142Hendrick (male)

Boxer    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hi! My name is Hendrick, and thanks for stopping by my page. I'm a 1.5 year old fawn male boxer. I have natural ears and a docked tail. I came into LBR'S care because I excaped my yard one day and ended up getting hit by a car. I wandered up to someone's porch and they took me to the animal shelter to get help and hopefully find my owners. My owners never came, so the nice people at Legacy came to save me. I ended up with some road rash and 3 fractures in my pelvis. The nice doctors told me I had to be restricted to a crate for 6 weeks to allow my fractures to heal. So far, so good. Because of this, I do great in a crate. I whine ... (Read More)sometimes, but that's only because I can hear the other dogs in my foster home and I want to play with them, it's not because I'm in pain. In fact, I don't feel much pain from my injuries. I do good with dogs of all shapes and sizes. My foster home has a big boxer, a husky, and sometimes watches a chihuahua, and love all of them. They also have 4 kids who I adore. I've even met their 3 cats and I think they are pretty cool too. The 2 younger cats are scared of me, but the older one loves to lick me and I return the favor. I am learning some basic commands, but have shown my foster family that I know sit because I sit for treats and fruit (I like pineapple and strawberries so far). I haven't figured out the dog door yet because my foster family doesn't want me to using yet so I don't injure my pelvis, but I take care of my business when they let me outside. They say I'm good on a leash. I pull sometimes because when I finally get out of my crate, I have a lot of energy to get out. I'm also young, but I'm learning. I can't wait to meet my furever family. My foster family says that whomever adopts me is going to hit the jackpot. Will you be my furever family?!?!' Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

'My name is Pence, I'm a 1 year old petite female. I don't really want to talk about my past, as my future looks like'|.ohhhh a squirrel. Sorry, I got side tracked, I was just saying my future looks like so much fun and full of love, I'd rather focus on that. When I was rescued, I went straight to the doctor for a couple of days where they helped me start to feel better. I am still recovering in some ways from being malnourished, mainly in that, everyone tells me I'm too skinny and that I need more groceries. My foster parents tell me that I'm all puppy and full of energy. I love to chew, I'm really good at only chewing on my toys, ... (Read More)but sometimes I can't resist a shoe that is left out. I am a good eater, I prefer my kibble a little soft as that helps me eat it, because I'm told I have a big adorable under bite. The vet said I should adapt and be able to eat hard kibble soon, so then I can be like my foster siblings. They are jealous of my food, but I don't mind sharing, even though I'm not supposed to. I am still working on manners and potty training, my foster parents say it has been a process as I am easily distracted and sometimes forget what was asked or why I went outside. I mean there are other dogs to play with, why else would I go outside!? I am getting better and I am trying, but I'm more focused on being a wonderful loving puppy and enjoying a life of luxury for once. I am good when I'm in my kennel, I think sometimes it makes me feel safe. I love my foster siblings'| 2 of them are like me, and then 3 of them are much smaller than me. One of the little ones likes to play with me and that is fun!! The other two little ones don't really like to play, sometimes I try anyway and they have to remind me, which I don't mind because there are other dogs to play with. I am told I am going to have a little surgery very soon to guarantee I get to keep enjoying being a puppy. After my surgery, I'll need to recover, focus on gaining weight, and learning my manners. I am really loving being a puppy and wanting for nothing. I still have some manners to learn but my foster family thinks I'm a wonderful puppy. If you think I am perfect for your family, please let your adoption counselor know. I hope to start looking for my forever family in the middle of May.     'Hello? Are you there? Hello? I can't see you because I'm blind. You'll need to speak up so I can find you. I also have a challenge getting around and can topple over easily so foster mom says we need to keep my surroundings clutter free. I wasn't always like this, at least that's what we all think. I was in a car one day and all of a sudden I was flying through space and slamming in to stuff. It seems to have messed my little brain up. The vet suspects I will always be this way. I'm supposed to see more vets to find out for sure. Until then foster mom says I can't meet anyone as we don't know my prognosis yet. Check back in because ...     'Hi! My name is Brinley and I'm so happy to meet you all! I'm still getting to know my foster family, but I wanted to tell you a little bit about me. I'm a petite boxer girl weighing 47lbs. My shelter paperwork says I'm 4, but my vet said ''No way! Maybe 2''. It's not polite to ask a lady her age and I'm not telling! I was really scared and stressed out during my stay at the shelter, but my new friend from Legacy came to see me several times and then took me on a roadtrip to meet my foster family. What a happy day! As soon as we got home my foster mom gave me a bath to get rid of my fleas, but I was still so itchy. Turns out I have demodex ... (Read More)mange and my paws are infected and really bother me. I also have hookworms. YUCK! My foster mom says not to worry though, she's going to get me all fixed up! Speaking of fixing, I'm going to have a surgery soon that will make sure I don't have any more puppies. I was a really good mom, but now I'm ready to relax and be pampered! I'm just excited that I don't have any worms in my heart! In case you were wondering, I like small squeaky toys and will carry them around the house. I like to be in the same room as my people and will follow you from room to room, because I'm still a little unsure about where you're going and what I'm allowed to do. I like to go on walks and my foster mom says I'm perfect on the leash! I've got the boxer lean down and I'm working on the boxer wiggle. I did a tiny wiggle dance for my mom this morning and she got so excited (she's funny!). I like to lay outside in the sun and relax. I like the 11 year old boy in the house -he's very gentle with me and calls me Brinny Brin. But what I really like, maybe even LOVE, is getting to play with my new fur brother and be a silly boxer girl! We like wrestling and mouth jousting best. My mom says I'm a bit of a mischievous girl, sneaking peeks on the counter and trying to get the pantry door open. Sometimes I forget that I'm supposed to potty outside. Oops! Sorry, I'm still learning to be an inside dog. I don't really mind the crate though. When it's time to go to bed, I get a treat and go right into my crate and snore all night until mom wakes me up at 6am! My foster mom says that I'm a fancy, prancy little boxer girl who needs a while to get healthy. Don't worry, my foster mom will let you know when I'm ready to meet my furever family! I even come when my name is called and have not chewed or torn up anything. I love my foster brother, especially when we run circles in the back yard. I also love cats!     Hi my name is Kiwi, I am new here and I have yucky Heartworms, so I'll have to start treatment to kill off those ugly things. I am currently fostered in a home with 2 other Boxers and I love to play with them as well as any other pup that comes to visit. There is 2 children in my foster home that I love to get kisses from and give kiss to. There is also Goats, Pigs, Chickens and other things here, I am very curious but I don't want to hurt anyone. I can climb fences! I am not housetrained so I am working on that. I have no manners and I love to jump on anything and anyone, although I do have limits with the small kids. I have a full tail ... I know what it is like to be hungry, so when one of my fur siblings sticks their nose in my food for a taste while I am eating I don't mind. Sharing is the life for me. Animal ID: 16088Daffodil (female)

Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Daffodil is a tiny little thing; in fact, her foster momma calls her Lil' Bitsy Bit. She came from the shelter painfully thin, but even after she gets back to a healthy weight, she will still be a dainty little girl. She is calm and gentle, but still greets every person she meets with the sweetest little tail end wiggle. She jumps a bit, but it is with such a light touch that it is hardly worth correcting her. When she runs around the backyard she looks more like a baby deer than a boxer. Daffy is fantastic on the leash and a champion couch snuggler. She really wants to give kisses, and if you hold her back from your face, she'll just ... (Read More)pretend your face is still there and keep right on kissing. She will not be deterred! Daffy does not care for her crate, but once you get her in there, she does fine. You can try luring her in with a favorite stuffed squeaky toy, but once your back is turned, she might dart in to rescue it, then run away, toy in mouth. Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello All! My name is Liza and I'm a classic fawn pocket boxer girl. I like to be REALLY close to the people and dogs that I love because this is the first time I've had people that love me and I REALLY like it!!! My foster mom says I'm a classic 'Velcro' dog whatever that means. My life was not great before as I didn't have a soft place to lay down, had to stay outside even though it got really hot or really cold at times and WET, and I wasn't given dinner regularly. But they didn't really care about me. Now I've got the Legacy Boxer folks, and they've been feeding me really good food 2 times a day WITH TREATS and been giving me ... (Read More)medicine for worms, and skin infections and keeping my ears wrapped because dogs were nipping at my ears and I have some sores that keep bleeding. People are very excited because my hair is growing back in - not because of mange but because of malnutrition. I'm getting spayed and have to get heart worm treatment soon, so may not be able to go to my forever home before May. I love being a part of the family, love toys, kids, dogs, people and love to play!!! I'm a puppy you know so I need to learn how to be a good family member and have people that love me forever!!! Boxer    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

'Hello! My name is Reagan, and my foster mom says I am sweetness incarnate. I love to give kisses and meet new people. I'm a pretty flashy fawn girl with long legs, 21 months old. I am very happy and lovey, especially on my people, and if you let me, I will crawl into your lap and show you how much I love you by giving you a licky boxer bath. But if that's too much, I understand 'off' and will honor that. I used to live with one of littermates, and I bossed him around. Now I live with two male boxers, who are very accepting of some of my quirks. As I mentioned, I do have some quirks, but nothing that can't be overcome with some love and ... (Read More)patience. Here's my secret: I'm a little timid. My new home has a busy street on the other side of our backyard, and I find the traffic noise scary, so much so that I can't potty. So I'd probably be best off living in a home that is on a quieter street or maybe not so much 'city noise.' My former home was an apartment, so I was used to smaller spaces and spending more time in my kennel. In my foster home, I have free run of the house with my brothers, but I like my kennel, so you'll often find me there, just chillin. I love toys and when my people get down on the floor and play with me. And I play well with my boxer brothers, when I'm inclined to play. I'm not super high-energy, more a middle-of-the-road kind of gal, but I do need a dog friend. I wouldn't do well as an only child; I like being in a pack. I respond to treats, so if you'd like to see the best 'sit pretty,' that's me! I know basic commands, I'm decent on a leash, I'm crate- and house-trained (albeit with a few accidents in my first couple days since I didn't get that I could ring the bell on the back door to go out), but I'm a good girl. My people bought me a Thunder Shirt, and it does help me be more confident, but I'm still a little scared around things like non-carpeted floors, doorways, and things over my head like ceiling fans, and I'm easily startled by unexpected noises. That said, it's only been a couple weeks in my new place, and my people are confident that these behaviors will fade in time once I get truly settled. I'm Reagan-wiggly, soft, happy-go-lucky, sweet and cute as a button since my tongue sometimes doesn't fit all the way in my mouth. I think my name might be Cutie Patootie?!? Please ask to meet me!     'Hello!! My name is Webster (some call me Webby). I am approximately 4 year old skinny boy who is 71 pounds. I was rescued by these nice people from Legacy Boxer Rescue. I was in a shelter in pain as I had a leg injury in addition to some large open wounds. My people took me to the vet to get checked out. Now I get in the bath tub twice a day for what they refer to as hydrotherapy. At first I was not fond of the tub, but once my pain got under control (and they decided to bribe me with treats) I am not so resistant (treats do a skinny boy good, right?). Once my deep wounds heel up, I will then have to have surgery for my broken ... (Read More)leg/foot. After I recover from that surgery I have to be neutered (boy, that don't sound good). I have never been destructive when out of the crate by myself.     'Whoever said you can't teach old dogs new tricks hasn't met me! Hi! I'm Eevee and don't let my silver muzzle fool you, I still have a lot of boxer spunk left in me. While I may not play as long or as hard as my younger foster siblings, I still love to go for walks and am considered an expert wiggler. My favorite thing to do is to love on my humans, and simply keep them company. I'm learning commands really fast, I already know sit, shake, and kennel. (Read More)24-7. I am food and treat orientated when I am feeling my best. Right now I am under weight but my foster parents are giving me goats milk which is high in fat content and hope to change that. I am still getting back to my basics since I was found on the streets and lost count of how many days I was lost for. Even though I currently have three fur-brothers, sometimes I pick fights for no reason, I might be best as a only dog. I usually go all day with no issues but at night I wish to be left alone to snuggle with my foster parents. I am a very curious of my surroundings and they might not say it but I know I'm the smartest dog in the house. Unfortunately, I currently have a UTI but I am on medication, so I won't be ready for adoption until mid-February at the earliest. My future family shouldn't worry about deafy training information, my foster mom can help get you the best resources on how to raise me. I would prefer to have another dog in the house to show me the ropes, keep me company, and most importantly be my playmate. My foster mom is convinced that the bond between a deaf dog and their family is very special, I will always look to my owners for assurance and provide unmatched love in return...they say that 'deaf dogs hear with their hearts' that must be true because all I want to do is love and please you. I just know my new family is out there...until you meet me I'm happy and thankful to be here with the foster family that saved my life.     'Hiya! My name is Mariah. I am looking for a family to call my own. Don't let my silver face fool you. I am an active lady. I love to go for fast paced walks. I also love wrastling. Foster mom says sometimes I wrastle too hard. She thinks I was a tomboy in another life. I am a super cuddler and will plop myself in your lap when you sit down. I love to sleep with my humans but I'm also ok with sleeping on my own. I'm living with 3 other boxers and I love them very much. I've learned a lot from them. I love yummy treats like bananas and baby carrots, so I sit nicely and wait for my turn to get one. I can also sit and wait for all the food ...     'Hi I'm Angel. I am an itty bitty boxer girl at 37 lbs. If my flying nun ears catch a strong breeze you might even see me sailing through the air. My docked tail is constantly wagging, I'm always happy and, if possible, I like to lay my head in someone's lap all the time. I was even smiling when I had to wear a dreaded cone while I healed. I am very friendly to everybody. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm approximately 4 years old, a fawn boxer girl with a little bit of flash. As I said before I weigh 37 lbs. but could add a pound or two. I have stayed in the house and never have had an accident. I roam the house during the ... (Read More)day and night with no problems and I don't chew on anything. I get to sleep in the bedroom at night and like to snuggle if you will let me. I'm not much into playing with toys as I prefer to cuddle and play with my family. When I do play I usually just pick up the soft furry toys and walk with them. I did surprise my foster dad when he was training my fur brother. When he was giving commands to my fur brother I was behind my foster dad, on the other side of a doggie gate, also doing the commands, but he couldn't see until he turned around one time and caught me. I then showed him I could sit and lie down and even roll over on my back on command. Sometimes though I think they are all one command which means roll over on your back, I do like my belly rubbed. Since I am always anxious to spend time with my foster family and love it when they talk and play with me I look forward to future training sessions. I have had two lumps removed and still have to have one more removed. I am also Heartworm positive and will start treatment in the near future. I love it here with my foster family but will be looking soon for someone to love and further train me. If you're that special family give me a call and I'll come for a visit after my Heartworm treatment.     Hello there, my name is Penelope! I sometimes go by Penny. I'm kind of fond of that. I feel like I'm one lucky Penny!! I had to be taken to the shelter because my senior owner and I had grown old together and he could no longer care for me. I am really wishing for my forever home. I think I would like to be in a home with kiddos 10 and older. I am an older lady and I am at an age where I want to eat my food and enjoy my chew bones in peace. I also think I would like to be the only dog in the house. Boisterous dogs can get on my nerves and I can get grumpy when telling them to calm down. I love, love, love people!! I got to go to Barnes ... (Read More)and Noble for wrapping presents and it was one of my happiest days! I adored all the attention!! I am so excited to see my foster people when they come home. I buck, spin and cha-cha my feet so they know how happy I have to see them! Like many of us who live in this area, I have allergies. It's easy to manage though. I gobble up my allergy pill when it is tossed in with my morning and evening soup (kibble with water in it). I also take a joint supplement so I can still have fun feel like playing. I like hanging out with people. I prefer to be where you are and like sitting with my back up against your leg. Even though I am an older lady and my face looks like it's been dusted with powdered sugar, I still get the zoomies and love it when you play with me. I love playing with toys too. I like to set them up on the coffee table and couch, pretend I can't see it, then grab them quickly and give them a shake. Going on walks makes me very happy. When I see the leash, I smile and get wiggly with excitement. This little sugar-dusted face lady would love to meet you and be your girl. Please ask to meet me, Penelope.     Hi, I'm Sonny, but my mom calls me a Big Hunk of Handsome. Don't let my size scare you. She says I'm a gentle giant. I know how to walk on a leash, get in my crate when told, use a dog door, use my inside voice, and wake my mom if I need to go out in the night. I like other dogs! There are 3 other dogs where I live right now and we are all doing fine. I don't know about small furry things yet, like squirrels or cats. They might be fun to chase. I've discovered I like soft beds. My mom says I didn't have a soft place to lay before and it caused some sores on my legs. But those are getting better everyday. I love hanging around ...     'Baymax is the perfect name for me. I am super cute and cuddly just like the Pixar character with the same name. I sometimes get confused about about life as an inside dog. Some things that are puzzling me are why my fur brother keeps carrying things around in his mouth and acting so happy when he tosses them around. It also seems crazy that the people keep doing funny things with their hands and holding a piece of apple or hotdog and giving it to me when I do easy things like come to them or sit. Another weird thing is the dog in the shiny glass keeps looking back at me, but he doesn't smell like anything! I was rescued from death row. Can ... (Read More)you believe it? Death row! How did I get there? How did that happen? A handsome, charismatic guy like me stuck in dog jail; and to top it off, one of the other pups in there didn't cover their cough and I caught it! I'll shake it in no time though. Even though my stay in doggie jail was hard, I'm not looking back! I'm getting great care from my foster family. I'm sweet, lovable, wiggly, and super smart! Don't let anything deter you from making this amazing pupp-o yours. I am partially deaf. I hear high-pitched noises and some talking, but sometimes can't tell where the sounds are coming from. My foster family uses both verbal commands and signs to communicate with me. I know signs for eat, come, potty, and no. I'm learning signs for sit, bed, and off. I have not had a single accident in my foster home and really like using the doggie door.     Hello, I'm Butterfly. I'm a beautiful dark brindle mature petite Boxer lady. I may only have the short fragile life of a butterfly left. Unfortunately, I have soft tissue sarcoma, a type of cancer that is destined to return. I was rescued from the shelter with a Nerf football size sarcoma on my front leg that was so large that the wound from removal was impossible to close. The best way to treat this type of cancer is to amputate my leg; however, my back legs are not strong enough for that and I have heart worms so that is not a possibilty. I'm not sure I will be able to find my fur-ever home, but don't feel sorry for me. I have the best foster home and I'm making the most of the time I have left!     Hi! My name is Buffy and I am an awesome girl! I am house and crate trained and walk well on a leash. I am good with adults and kids and am very well behaved. I tolerate bathing and am great for nail trims. I know sit, lay, shake, and go right in my kennel when I am told.     I have been with my foster family almost a year. My mom thinks I am pretty young'|probably between 1.5-2 years now. I am a total love bug and super sweet. I have been great with the kids in my house. Their ages are 3, 6, & 9. I still sometimes bump them or play bow and bark when I want to play. Did I mention I LOVE LOVE LOVE to play? I love boxing and mouthing around with other boxers. I have been great with the dogs I have met or lived with. I just chill with Charlie, a 10 year old Jack Russell and sometimes I can get him to chase me around the ... (Read More)back yard. I am have gained some weight since I have been here now that I am safe and have a place to rest, eat, and be loved. I am a good healthy weight now at about 60 lbs. I have a good appetite since I play so much and am young. I had a bump removed on my head that was a benign cyst. They aren't too worried about it but removed it so I didn't bump it or so it didn't get bigger. I am even more handsome now believe it or not. I had pretty itchy skin too when I came into my foster home. Doctors said I had a secondary skin infection and some mites I needed to get rid of in my ears and on my skin. I was able to get rid of those nasty bugs. I was diagnosed with Cushing's disease in the spring. Though I have responded well to my meds, the doctors are going to make sure they get me all taken care of before I am adopted. My mom says I am house trained. I do pretty well in a crate too. Sometimes I will cry in it if I can't see you or need to go outside but I settle down fairly quickly. My mom worries about apartments for me since I have a lot of energy and can sometimes be unhappy in my crate. Right now I spend a couple of hours a day in the crate while my mom takes and picks up my skin siblings from school. I get to run around the house during the day while she is at home and she lets me out when I stand by the door. I love doing zoomies in the backyard and showing my family how fast I am. I love jumping on my mom's bed when she isn't looking and often hide toys there. I often entertain myself with toys but still have a lot of energy that I burn by going on walks or racing around outside. I am happy sleeping and snuggling too since playing is so hard. I am a super silly guy. My mom loves me and pretty much anyone who meets me thinks I am great. It might be a couple of months before I am ready to be adopted. Check out all by foster friends who are looking for a home too. Updated 12/14/15 ' See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2863 (Less)

'If you've been searching for the most handsome boxer at LBR, your search is over! I've been with my foster mom for about a year now. I bet your wondering how a hunk like me ends up being in foster care that long, aren't you? I haven't shared all the secrets of my past, but I am scared of new people that I meet. I don't want them to know I'm scared so instead I act all big and bad to show them I'm the scary one. So far it hasn't worked yet! LOL Foster mom has been taking me to see a special kind of veterinarian called a behaviorist. We work on all kinds of training, which is awesome because I get to have yummy treats every day. ... (Read More)Foster mom tells me I'm a very smart boy. She's taken other dogs to the behaviorist and she says I've caught on quicker than the others did. What can I say? I love to please my people! (br)(br) Here at my foster home there are 5 other dogs and I love them all. My foster siblings are a very laid back bunch so I respect their space and play on my own or with foster mom. I LOVE, love, love (did I mention love???) any toy that squeaks. My favorites are the big Kong balls. You should try one out! My favorite thing to do is be chased, whether it's a doggie friend or foster mom. Being chased is so much fun! It's even better if I have a toy in my mouth! (br)(br) Foster mom said I'm one of the best behaved fosters she's had. I like routines a lot and I'm good at sticking to them. I know when it's time to get up, eat breakfast, be silly, play (with a squeaky toy, of course!), chill, eat dinner, even going in my crate. I sometimes have to remind foster mom it's time to eat or get up. I'm sure she appreciates it! I know how to use a dog door and always do my business outside. I like to drag toys outside to play with and for some reason foster mom gets upset when I take 'indoor' toys outside because they get dirty. It's not like we don't have a washing machine! I think she's just silly. (br)(br) My behaviorist tells me I won't be ready to find my forever home for a few more months. I'm hoping by summer time I'll be ready to start looking. I know I want to have other dogs to play with in my forever home. I like dogs of all sizes and love to play with them. I need a house that doesn't have a lot of traffic in and out. Most importantly, my forever family needs to understand the importance of my training. I've worked really hard to get good at it and don't want to lose my mad skills. Foster mom says I'll always require some kind of training on a daily to weekly basis. I promise I'm totally worth the extra effort!! (br)(br) Foster mom here! Adonis has been with LBR for just over a year. In that time he has made a lot of progress with his training and is a well-adjusted member of my household. I am amazed at how smart this boy is. There is nothing he can't figure out! He has a way of knowing what I'm going to ask of him before I do sometimes. I absolutely LOVE having him here. When I say he's the best dog ever, I firmly mean it. I love this boy to bits. I will cry my eyes out when he finds his forever family, both because I will miss him and how proud I will be of him. He deserves his happily ever after so much more than I could ever tell you. ' See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2841 (Less)

Animal ID: 14368Ram, Medical Hold (male)

Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Rammy says, 'I'm a Wild...and...C-razy guy!' He's too young to know the Blues Brothers, but he could definitely keep up with them. We're working on the crazy wild/hyper stuff and socialization, as well as listening skills plus basic commands, so check back with us in a few weeks for an update. He's a super sweet, gotta be right next to you, if not lap-hogging ya, kinda boxer. Much more relaxed if there's someone who stays at home, and he's great security--lets you know what's going on early with those radar-cute ears of his, so probably not welcome in most apartments. This boy has awesome running and leaping skills, that are a thing of ... (Read More)beauty. We'll see if we can get more action photos, and update later.     'They call me Candy for a few reasons: *I am sweeter than apple pie *My cute face is laced with white sugar *I am addictively lovable Legacy Boxer Rescue saved me when my previous owners dumped me at a shelter after making me live outside for years and years and years!!! So, for the past 13 months, I have been getting medical care and learning to be an inside dog. Now I am ready to become your dog! I have learned about air conditioning in the summer and how nice it is to sleep in a warm place on those icy days. I have learned that climate controlled places are not where doggies go potty. I have learned that I must quietly stay in my ... (Read More)crate when my people put me there. I have learned that humans like to say ''sit'' and that means my bottom half goes on the floor when my top half doesn't! But most of all, I have learned that I am smart enough, good enough and darn it, people like me!!! (And I love them!!) Although I am chronologically an old girl, I have a renewed lease on life and plenty of energy left after all the many years of backyard confinement and neglect. As a mature girl, I have learned not to ever lick more than a couple of times and I never put my mouth on humans -- especially the little kids (who I LOVE)!! I also don't play with toys or chase balls, but I sure love hanging with my people. I am ready and eager to go on walks and car rides, to hear all about your day while I snuggle with you, and I even will talk back to you! I like most other dogs and can be a great buddy to another friendly dog, too. Or, I am happy to be the only pet in the household. Come and meet me, and perhaps I am the friendly Boxer girl that will fit perfectly in your life! ' See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2709 (Less)

Boxer    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I am a sweet and gentle soul, but I still have a bit of spunk in me. I am house and crate trained and I know how to use a doggy door. I will let you know if I need to go outside by 'chuffing'. I am so well behaved that I am free to roam my foster home day and night. I know sit, lay down, come, outside and potty. I would be great with kids or grandkids since I don't jump up and I don't smother them with kisses. I love to be in whatever room my family is in. As an older woman, I have a couple of age related issues that we can discuss if you'd like to meet me. I ride well in a car and I love to take walks on a leash. My foster mom isn't sure ... (Read More)I knew how to play before, but I am learning now. I live with three other boxers and we all get along great. I am interested in those fast furry things called squirrels though, so small furry animals might no be a good idea for me. I like to snuggle and nap when it is TV time...and well, pretty much anytime. A woman does needs her beauty sleep you know. Please consider me if you'd like a laid back girl to hang out with!     Meet Hunny! The happiest little girl I've ever met, I say she has a few loose screws in her caboose because she can almost touch her tail to her nose with those butt wiggles! Adorable. Hunny resides with a English Bulldog, a Pomeranian, and 3 other Boxers, so she is extremely pet friendly. Well trained and crate trained. She's a doll and a cuddle master. Boxer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi everyone! Meet Legacy foster Ms. Mulligan! When Mulligan first arrived into foster care it was evident she hadn't lived a very good life. She was under weight, scared and had no 'Boxer spirit'. It took a few weeks, but after some regular meals and lots of loving Ms. Mulligan is discovering what the good life is about! This little girl is a prime example of why Legacy does what it does! As Ms. Mulligan continues to come out of her shell her Boxer spirit has begun to return! In fact, we are learning that she's a whole lot of sweet and a whole lot of sassy! In fact, she has earned the nickname 'Ms. Sassy Pants'! Ms. Mulligan loves her daily ... (Read More)walks and does great on a leash! While she's cruising the neighborhood she likes everyone to know she's out and about! Who knew such a loud bark could come from such a little thing! She's also the sweetest little girl that loves nothing more than to be curled up in your lap or next to you on the couch. Each time you walk into the room she'll greet you with the fastest moving Boxer nub you have ever seen! In fact she gets so excited the back half of her body just wiggles and wiggles! Have you even seen what's often referred to as the Boxer Kidney Bean? Well, you haven't seen a kidney bean until you see Ms. Sassy Pants do it! Mulligan is cat friendly and kid friendly but is somewhat selective about her dog friends. Because of this she would prefer to be an only dog. She's crate trained and almost house trained. We're still having a few accidents in the house but that's ok because she's still learning! Ms. Mulligan is looking for her fur-ever home. Her fur-ever family needs to know she's had a bit of a rough life and will need a little love and patience. The positive side to this is she is the sweetest little girl and has a lot of love to give in return! Could this be the girl for you? How can you resist that face? If you would like to meet Ms. Sassy Pants please contact Legacy. See my complete bio at http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2592 (Less)
