Boxer    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hello! WB here. Wow! I've been a busy bee the last couple of days. So many new things to see and do where do I begin to tell you about me? I'm 9 months old right now. I'm a very active pup. I love to play. Non stop. All the time. I play with my foster brothers. When they get tired I play with the toys by myself. I really, really need a play mate in my life so I want a home with another dog to play with. That's good right!? I've had a lot of training on leash walking and do well at it. I may pull a little when I see another dog but that is because I'm sure they want to meet me. After all, I am pretty spectacular. I'm still very ... (Read More)young so I need reminders occasionally to not pull. I do well in the house except for a few things. I'm very interested in what's on those counters. I get up and look as often I can. I don't think I'm supposed to so I am going to try my best to stop that. I also am too enthusiastic about getting to the kids in the house. I need to learn to keep my paws on the ground for the younger ones because they topple over fairly easy. For this reason I need a forever home with older kids. I'm not mean any way just too much for young guys. I've only just come to Legacy so I'm not able to meet until they have a chance to know me better. Check with them soon though and maybe we can meet! Foster mom says I'm quite a catch and some lucky family is going to be very blessed to have me.     'Hi I'm Kryten! I'm new to this rescue world but momma said by the looks of it I was long over due. I am perfect in my crate, no escapes(I have it too good here) no potty accidents and so far I've met my 4 legged foster sister and we played like there was no tomorrow. Now I look forward to tomorrows, weeks and months ahead, I have been rescued.. I have a ways to go before I'm adopted, I have to have a neuter (sounds fun) and HWT so at the very earliest would be about a month before I go into HWT. Ta-Ta for now, check back and I'll let my foster momma tell you more as I let her know. Love and Kisses Kryten' See my complete bio at ... Animal ID: 16026Scotty (male)

Boxer    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hey Y'all! My name is Scotty and I'm a GORGEOUS white puppy with a mask - or they call me 'Check'. I'm as sweet and soft as they come. I'm coughing in the morning and some at night so almost over kennel cough. My foster mom gives my medicine in peanut butter - YUM! I was at the shelter with all kinds of nasty fleas that the Legacy Boxer people helped me get rid of, so I'm not so itchy. I'm pretty happy go lucky and not terribly jumpy for a puppy but I can definitely get the 'zoomies' and I'm just beginning to learn stuff. I love lots of toys and balls!!! I'm learning sit and doing really well with housebreaking, but I haven't ... (Read More)learned the doggy door yet. My foster mom says I'm extremely smart, and she is right! I'd love to have a skin kid of my own or 2 or 3 even, and I absolutely need a fur brother or sister if they are nice that is. I've gotten to where I don't feel scared all the time and really need VERY NICE PEOPLE to live with. Because I still have to go see the vet and get basic vetting done, I won't be able to meet anyone until the kennel cough is gone, and I've got to get shots - YIKES and they said I need to be neubered or somethingČ'Ř|.not sure what that is but maybe that means I'm going to get lots of loving at the vet! If you want to meet me, you have to understand I'm only 1 and just beginning to learn stuff so have some patience, will ya - geez! If you are VERY NICE PEOPLE, with NICE KIDS would be nice, and NICE DOGS, it would be very nice to meet you! Boxer    Age: Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

'Whoever said you can't teach old dogs new tricks hasn't met me! Hi! I'm Eevee and don't let my silver muzzle fool you, I still have a lot of boxer spunk left in me. While I may not play as long or as hard as my younger foster siblings, I still love to go for walks and am considered an expert wiggler. My favorite thing to do is to love on my humans, and simply keep them company. I'm learning commands really fast, I already know sit, shake, and kennel. Car rides and meeting new people are two of my favorite things! Sometimes I am so in love with my humans I will cry when left alone for the first 30-45 minutes. I just want someone to love on ... (Read More)24-7. I am food and treat orientated when I am feeling my best. Right now I am under weight but my foster parents are giving me goats milk which is high in fat content and hope to change that. I am still getting back to my basics since I was found on the streets and lost count of how many days I was lost for. Even though I currently have three fur-brothers, sometimes I pick fights for no reason, I might be best as a only dog. I usually go all day with no issues but at night I wish to be left alone to snuggle with my foster parents. I am a very curious of my surroundings and they might not say it but I know I'm the smartest dog in the house. Unfortunately, I currently have a UTI but I am on medication, so I won't be ready for adoption until mid-February at the earliest. If you're hoping for your new family member to come home before then, check out my foster brothers and sisters. We're just waiting to wiggle our way into your heart!'     Hey! My name is De Gea! I am pretty new to LBR, but my foster mom says I am about the perfect boy! I am house trained, great in my crate, I sleep through the night, love the other dogs here, ride well in the car. I like to be with my people, if you get up, I get up. I really am interested in what you are doing and it might be something fun! I was surrendered to the shelter for separation anxiety, but my foster parents have not seen any issues. I do very well in my crate. If you are home, I cry a little because I want to be out with you, but I settle down fast and just take a nap. Like my foster mom said, I am a pretty perfect boy! ...     Hi, I'm Chiquita. I am just a pup. I am very sweet and I LOVE my people. I always want to be with them. I enjoy the girls that live here. They are 14 and 9. I love when they give me attention and I give LOTS of kisses. I get so excited that I jump on them, but I am learning that not everyone likes my paws on them. I can sit and shake. I have a fur sister that I share the house with. I really like boxing and running with her. We play tag and tug-of-war. I am also pretty good at fetching toys. I don't mind my crate and I'm actually staring to think of it as a nice place to rest. I am working on not having accidents in the house. ... Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hi, my name is Dom. Thank you for stopping by my page. I'm a 4.5 year old, fawn boxer, and I weigh about 55lbs. I was saved by Legacy Boxer Rescue after the family that saved me from an unsafe situation found out they were moving to Hawaii, and they decided it would be best for me to find a furever home. Because of my history, I get scared of new things. In the short time I've been in my foster home, I have grown a lot in that regard, but I still get scared and shake. I'm great with dogs of all sizes. My foster home has a big boxer and sometimes watches a chihuahua, and I like both of them, especially the chihuahua :-). I've seen ... (Read More)the cats a few times, but wasn't too sure what they were and just stared at them. There are 4 kids that I live with and I love them too. They can get a little loud at times, so I just keep to myself. I LOVE to cuddle. I am crate trained, but I don't prefer it. I lived in a crate for the first 4 years of my life, so I get scared when I get put in one. I'm not sure if I'll get to come back out. I am working on not going potty in the house. My foster home has a dog door and I've figured out how to come inside, but am afraid to go outside on my own. When I need to go outside, I sit by the door and wait til they let me out. I'm still learning how to be a dog. I don't really play with toys, but I love to chew on rawhides. I'm looking for a furever home where I can just be me. I want to cuddle and play and enjoy my life. I think I would do best with a friend, but I might also like being an only dog. That way I get ALL of the attention.' Boxer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Ami, and I hope you're looking at me because you want to adopt me! I do my best to give as much love and affection as I can. I'm a big boy so I have a lot to give! My foster mom says I'm up to 86 pounds! I may be big, but I'm very well behaved. I don't like to jump on people because I know with my size I could scare them, but they're more than welcome to give ME hugs if they would like! Do you like movies? I don't really know what they are, but that's what my foster mom says we're watching when we curl up on the couch together. I love to keep my person warm so I hope you don't mind. We can watch as many movies as you'd like as ... (Read More)long as I get to be the one to keep you warm! I have 3 foster siblings that I love. We're all a good mix because they're crazy and love to jump and I'm very mellow and calm and patient so we are a good balance. I would prefer having a sibling though that's either a tiny person or even a fur-brother or sister that is calm like me or at least doesn't jump on me. I don't particularly like that, but I'm a gentleman and won't bite or growl, but I will walk away. I hope that my fur-ever family finds me soon. I'm so excited to find the people I'm supposed to spend the rest of my life with! If you like me or think I'm perfect then please give me a call! I'll be waiting as still as I can, but when the phone rings I don't know if I'll be able to contain my wiggles so my foster mom may have to answer, but I'll be there the whole time! Look forward to finding my adoptive parents!     'Who's a monkey face?!? You're a little monkey face Clarence! What a sweet boy you are too. Clarence is currently undergoing treatment for a foot injury that requires hydrotherapy, daily epsom salt soaks, antibiotics and anti inflammatory medications. Hopefully the treatment will help heal his injury and no surgery will be needed. Clarence is also heartworm positive. He will undergo heartworm treatment after his foot heals and after he is neutered. This boy is sweet as can be and just needs some time to heal. Animal ID: 15172Mamie (female)

Boxer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

'Meet Miss Mamie! Mamie lived with a family and another boxer for years, but when they moved out of state, they took the other boxer and left her behind. Her whole world had been turned upside down, and when she got to her foster momma's house, she was too scared to get out of the car. She sat parked in the driveway, in the backseat of the car for an hour and half! As scared and sad as she was, though, Mamie is an experienced older lady who knows her way around a house and a family. Experience matters! Mamie has NEVER had a potty accident in the house. She uses her inside voice and almost never barks. She is ladylike on her walks, staying ... (Read More)right beside you without pulling on her leash. Mamie is comfortable in her crate for hours at a time and goes in easily. In fact, in only a few weeks' time, Mamie has learned her foster momma's routine and will put herself in the crate when she knows its time. But that's what Mamie can do. Who Mamie is, is a sweet, calm girl who wants most of all to sit next to you on the couch and sleep with you on your bed. Her favorite spot is by your feet or curled up under your knees, propping your legs up. If you let her enjoy some couch time with you, don't be surprised if you get a gentle paw tap encouraging you to put away your phone or tablet and scratch her. Mamie is not interested too much in boxer burns, but she will do an adorable little jumping frolic when she trots out to the backyard. She dreams and will run and bark in her sleep. She truly is a joy to have around the house. Mamie has glaucoma, and will have surgery in late December to remove her left eye. You don't need two eyes to snuggle, so she won't even miss it. She will be available for adoption after she is all healed up from that. If you are interested in snapping us this sweet girl, please contact your Adoption Counselor to set up a Meet & Greet. Once Mamie is your life, you'll never have cold feet again! I get to smell and see so many new things! I'm learning how to sit still in the car. It's just so exciting to get to go, go, go.     'Hi I'm Angel. I am an itty bitty boxer girl at 37 lbs. If my flying nun ears catch a strong breeze you might even see me sailing through the air. My docked tail is constantly wagging, I'm always happy and, if possible, I like to lay my head in someone's lap all the time. I was even smiling when I had to wear a dreaded cone while I healed. I am very friendly to everybody. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm approximately 4 years old, a fawn boxer girl with a little bit of flash. As I said before I weigh 37 lbs. but could add a pound or two. I have stayed in the house and never have had an accident. I roam the house during the ... (Read More)day and night with no problems and I don't chew on anything. I get to sleep in the bedroom at night and like to snuggle if you will let me. I'm not much into playing with toys as I prefer to cuddle and play with my family. When I do play I usually just pick up the soft furry toys and walk with them. I did surprise my foster dad when he was training my fur brother. When he was giving commands to my fur brother I was behind my foster dad, on the other side of a doggie gate, also doing the commands, but he couldn't see until he turned around one time and caught me. I then showed him I could sit and lie down and even roll over on my back on command. Sometimes though I think they are all one command which means roll over on your back, I do like my belly rubbed. Since I am always anxious to spend time with my foster family and love it when they talk and play with me I look forward to future training sessions. I have had two lumps removed and still have to have one more removed. I am also Heartworm positive and will start treatment in the near future. I love it here with my foster family but will be looking soon for someone to love and further train me. If you're that special family give me a call and I'll come for a visit after my Heartworm treatment. Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello there, my name is Penelope! I sometimes go by Penny. I'm kind of fond of that. I feel like I'm one lucky Penny!! I had to be taken to the shelter because my senior owner and I had grown old together and he could no longer care for me. I am really wishing for my forever home. I think I would like to be in a home with kiddos 10 and older. I am an older lady and I am at an age where I want to eat my food and enjoy my chew bones in peace. I also think I would like to be the only dog in the house. Boisterous dogs can get on my nerves and I can get grumpy when telling them to calm down. I love, love, love people!! I got to go to Barnes ... (Read More)and Noble for wrapping presents and it was one of my happiest days! I adored all the attention!! I am so excited to see my foster people when they come home. I buck, spin and cha-cha my feet so they know how happy I have to see them! Like many of us who live in this area, I have allergies. It's easy to manage though. I gobble up my allergy pill when it is tossed in with my morning and evening soup (kibble with water in it). I also take a joint supplement so I can still have fun feel like playing. I like hanging out with people. I prefer to be where you are and like sitting with my back up against your leg. Even though I am an older lady and my face looks like it's been dusted with powdered sugar, I still get the zoomies and love it when you play with me. I love playing with toys too. I like to set them up on the coffee table and couch, pretend I can't see it, then grab them quickly and give them a shake. Going on walks makes me very happy. When I see the leash, I smile and get wiggly with excitement. This little sugar-dusted face lady would love to meet you and be your girl. Please ask to meet me, Penelope.     'My name is Roxie, because, well I'm a boxer. I'm currently in the market for a new forever home. I grew up with a family for a long time, but their lifestyle had changed and they asked Legacy Boxer Rescue find a new family for me. A family that wanted to spend time with me and spoil me properly. Fortunately LBR has stepped up to do just that. I have been told that I am beautiful and sweet, so there is someone out there who wants to be my forever family and I am so excited to meet my new people. I'm an active girl. I love to walk and jog with my owner or just play in the back yard. I look and act like a much younger dog. Some might ... (Read More)consider it rude to ask a girl's age, but I'll tell you. I'm seven. Can you believe it? I am old enough to know my manners, and I'm a fully active play mate and team member. I'm game for whatever you're game for. I know voice and hand commands, even though I'm not deaf. I know how to ring bells to go outside. I can even kayak if you're willing to row. I will be honest and admit that I miss the love and individual attention from having my own personal family. I'm a people-dog. There's nothing I love more than being with my people, hearing their voices, and feeling their warm touch. I adore kind words and gentle petting and return that love with all I have. I'm looking for a home where I can be an only dog. My ideal new home would have a soft bed for me and good food. Most importantly my new people should have kind words and loving hands to pet me. I know I'm asking a lot, but I'm worth it. In return for all of that, I'll repay you with my boundless love, unending loyalty, and complete devotion. I can't wait to meet my new family! We will be perfect!     'I am Mycroft, a distinguished looking gentleman with super soft fur and subtle silvering around my muzzle.I like going on walks a lot! I do really well using a gentle leader to help me remember to walk at the speed you wish to go. It also helps me remember not to go running after squirrels. Sometimes when I'm on my walk, I forget to greet other dogs without using foul language. I am getting better though. When I am at home in my own space, I look through the fence at dogs going by *quietly* (I know, pretty amazing). My foster sister has taught me how to play. I am an expert at play bows, Boxer jabs and mouth jousting (kind of like thumb ... (Read More)wars, but with our mouths). Even though my foster sister has convinced me to play, I'm not so sure I would like dog parks very much. I DO like going on walks, getting ear scratches, lounging on the couch, chewing on rawhides and hanging out with people. Do not let my distinguishing gray fur fool you! I have tons of energy!! You should see my moves. My foster mom says I'm 'springy.' I am quite agile and might like to try agility classes some day. I like to meet new people and sometimes forget to keep all four feet on the floor. I don't usually jump onto people; I just raise up to see them better. I am eager to please and have very expressive, soulful eyes. I'm smart too! I learn new things quickly and I'm very good at paying attention-just tell me what you want me to do. You can trust me to sleep out of my crate at night. I find one spot (my favorite is the bed), settle in, and sleep through the night. I can't wait to find my own family. I've got a lot of love to share with you. All you have to do is say you'd like to meet me!!'     Hello, I'm Butterfly. I'm a beautiful dark brindle mature petite Boxer lady. I may only have the short fragile life of a butterfly left. Unfortunately, I have soft tissue sarcoma, a type of cancer that is destined to return. I was rescued from the shelter with a Nerf football size sarcoma on my front leg that was so large that the wound from removal was impossible to close. The best way to treat this type of cancer is to amputate my leg; however, my back legs are not strong enough for that and I have heart worms so that is not a possibilty. Being a mature dog and still in recovery, I'm not as strong as I once was but I can still manage to ... (Read More)walk about a mile if we go slowly and I get a few rest breaks. I would much rather be around people than other dogs since I don't like to play much anymore. I would love more than anything to meet you. You will know how happy I am because my nubby tail will be a blur and I will stand as long as you are there. I so adore meeting new people. I'm not sure I will be able to find my fur-ever home, but don't feel sorry for me. I have the best foster home and I'm making the most of the time I have left! I really enjoy sunning myself and rolling in the grass, and of course meeting new people! Please think of me fondly the next time you see a butterfly flit by.     I have been with my foster family almost a year. My mom thinks I am pretty youngČ'Ř|probably between 1.5-2 years now. I am a total love bug and super sweet. I have been great with the kids in my house. Their ages are 3, 6, & 9. I still sometimes bump them or play bow and bark when I want to play. Did I mention I LOVE LOVE LOVE to play? I love boxing and mouthing around with other boxers. I have been great with the dogs I have met or lived with. My foster mom tries to keep me socialized by doing play dates with other fosters and friends. I just chill with Charlie, a 10 year old Jack Russell and sometimes I can get him to chase me around the ... (Read More)back yard. I am have gained some weight since I have been here now that I am safe and have a place to rest, eat, and be loved. I am a good healthy weight now at about 60 lbs. I have a good appetite since I play so much and am young. I had a bump removed on my head that was a benign cyst. They aren't too worried about it but removed it so I didn't bump it or so it didn't get bigger. I am even more handsome now believe it or not. I had pretty itchy skin too when I came into my foster home. Doctors said I had a secondary skin infection and some mites I needed to get rid of in my ears and on my skin. I was able to get rid of those nasty bugs. I was diagnosed with Cushing's disease in the spring. Though I have responded well to my meds, the doctors are going to make sure they get me all taken care of before I am adopted. My mom says I am house trained. I do pretty well in a crate too. Sometimes I will cry in it if I can't see you or need to go outside but I settle down fairly quickly. My mom worries about apartments for me since I have a lot of energy and can sometimes be unhappy in my crate. Right now I spend a couple of hours a day in the crate while my mom takes and picks up my skin siblings from school. I get to run around the house during the day while she is at home and she lets me out when I stand by the door. I love doing zoomies in the backyard and showing my family how fast I am. I love jumping on my mom's bed when she isn't looking and often hide toys there. I often entertain myself with toys but still have a lot of energy that I burn by going on walks or racing around outside. I am happy sleeping and snuggling too since playing is so hard. I am a super silly guy. My mom loves me and pretty much anyone who meets me thinks I am great. It might be a couple of months before I am ready to be adopted. Check out all by foster friends who are looking for a home too. Updated 12/14/15 ' See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2863 (Less)

'If you've been searching for the most handsome boxer at LBR, your search is over! I've been with my foster mom for about a year now. I bet your wondering how a hunk like me ends up being in foster care that long, aren't you? I haven't shared all the secrets of my past, but I am scared of new people that I meet. I don't want them to know I'm scared so instead I act all big and bad to show them I'm the scary one. So far it hasn't worked yet! LOL Foster mom has been taking me to see a special kind of veterinarian called a behaviorist. We work on all kinds of training, which is awesome because I get to have yummy treats every day. ... (Read More)Foster mom tells me I'm a very smart boy. She's taken other dogs to the behaviorist and she says I've caught on quicker than the others did. What can I say? I love to please my people! (br)(br) Here at my foster home there are 5 other dogs and I love them all. My foster siblings are a very laid back bunch so I respect their space and play on my own or with foster mom. I LOVE, love, love (did I mention love???) any toy that squeaks. My favorites are the big Kong balls. You should try one out! My favorite thing to do is be chased, whether it's a doggie friend or foster mom. Being chased is so much fun! It's even better if I have a toy in my mouth! (br)(br) Foster mom said I'm one of the best behaved fosters she's had. I like routines a lot and I'm good at sticking to them. I know when it's time to get up, eat breakfast, be silly, play (with a squeaky toy, of course!), chill, eat dinner, even going in my crate. I sometimes have to remind foster mom it's time to eat or get up. I'm sure she appreciates it! I know how to use a dog door and always do my business outside. I like to drag toys outside to play with and for some reason foster mom gets upset when I take 'indoor' toys outside because they get dirty. It's not like we don't have a washing machine! I think she's just silly. (br)(br) My behaviorist tells me I won't be ready to find my forever home for a few more months. I'm hoping by summer time I'll be ready to start looking. I know I want to have other dogs to play with in my forever home. I like dogs of all sizes and love to play with them. I need a house that doesn't have a lot of traffic in and out. Most importantly, my forever family needs to understand the importance of my training. I've worked really hard to get good at it and don't want to lose my mad skills. Foster mom says I'll always require some kind of training on a daily to weekly basis. I promise I'm totally worth the extra effort!! (br)(br) Foster mom here! Adonis has been with LBR for just over a year. In that time he has made a lot of progress with his training and is a well-adjusted member of my household. I am amazed at how smart this boy is. There is nothing he can't figure out! He has a way of knowing what I'm going to ask of him before I do sometimes. I absolutely LOVE having him here. When I say he's the best dog ever, I firmly mean it. I love this boy to bits. I will cry my eyes out when he finds his forever family, both because I will miss him and how proud I will be of him. He deserves his happily ever after so much more than I could ever tell you. ' See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2841 (Less)

This precious girl is skittish and **needs** a fur buddy in her new home. She is easily startled, very nervous outside of her regular routine...walking in a parking lot is ok, until you get to the sidewalk leading up to PetCo, at which time she will come to a complete stop, then back up. Mayflower came just before Thanksgiving 2014 after being on the streets of east Texas, very pregnant. She delivered 11 puppies 7 days later, so she has been through a lot. She was spayed 1/2015 and had heartworm treatment 3/3/15. She has had many changes since coming to us. She has shown that she does much better with another dog (she can be very ... (Read More)skittish), so she will be looking for a home with a fur buddy. Mayflower also loves to play, so her fur buddy must also be ready to play. May has learned to be kenneled and does well with her fur buddy kenneled beside her, but a home where this is not needed much is preferred. She has also done well when left at home with a fur buddy to roam rather than in kennel. A doggy door is a bonus for May, she loves going outside to play and check on those pesky squirrels. Because of her skittishness, May will do better with older kids. She is easily startled by loud unexpected noises. Her family needs to be sensitive to her fears and help her work through them. She will give you so much love and joy. ' See my bio here: http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=3101 (Less)

Animal ID: 14107Wallace, Medical Hold (male)

Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Wallace is a 3 year old boxer that came to us emaciated and cautious of his surroundings. He was evaluated by a behaviorist and were told he wasn't shown any manners, so he treats kids like he does other pups. For this reason Wallace will not be placed in a home with young or older kids. He does well on a leash when no one else is present, people or dogs. Wallace gets to excited and starts to lunge. Wallace would make a great companion for someone who has a yard and have no kids visiting. Wallace gets along with all dogs, but he does best with females. We continue to work with Wallace on the issues mentioned above for he has done some ... (Read More)improvement from the time of his arrival here. He currently lives with two males and a female and he has done well. See my complete bio at http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2618 (Less)

Animal ID: 12906Rusty (male)

Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults

'Meet Rusty! He's looking for a family that will love him unconditionally and a home that will keep him forever. A total sweetheart who loves to be a part of the family, not just a pet. He enjoys 'going for a ride' and being by your side. So if you're looking for a boxer that aims to please and just wants love in return, that is Rusty. Great with kids of all of ages and other dogs. House and crate trained (he enjoys going to bed early in his crate). When he needs to go potty he'll ring his bell by the back door. Knows several commands; sit, shake, shake your other paw, lay down, off, get in your bed/place, etc.! Easy to train as he's ... (Read More)treat motivated. He can be sensitive, so no need to yell at him. In new situations he can be shy so it's extremely helpful for him to see other dogs, it shows him the new place & new people can be trusted. For this reason he must go to a home that has another dog. About a year ago he was hit by a car and his front right leg was injured. It doesn't bother him, or slow him down. Just something cosmetic that you might notice, some joint supplements would be beneficial as well as maintaining a healthy weight with quality food. Amazing on the leash and would love someone to take him on 1-2 walks a day! Playing fetch in the backyard is also a big plus. Rusty can be slow to warm up to new men, he needs a patient man that can be gentle with him. He loves 'boxing' with his foster Dad!
