'Hi everyone! My name is Emory and I am a very energetic 9 month old little girl. My mom says I only weigh 44lbs but I eat everything she gives me. I am not deaf and hear everything you say and every sound you make. The nice man at the vet said I am a very healthy girl. I know a few commands including ''sit'' and ''shake''. My foster mom has taught me not to go through doors going outside until she says, ''OK''. I pull on the leash because I'm so excited and want to smell everything during walks. I am crate trained and house trained. I sleep on a dog bed in the bedroom at night. Mom says I am great with other dogs and never show ... (Read More)aggression, even when my foster sister growls at me for sitting on her head or stealing her toys. I LOVE cats but I don't know why they won't let me play with them. I just keep trying to be friends, even when they hiss and swat at me. I love to wrestle with my 5 year old fur foster sister and chase her around the backyard. I like to play with my toys and am getting pretty good at fetch. I am a very sweet little girl and am ready to find my forever family!'     'Little Jazzie is recovering from parvo. She still has a ways to go before she can start looking for her very own forever family. She'll need 30 days after the parvo has run it's course before that happens. Hopefully that 30 days will start soon. Meanwhile she is learning the basics. Crate training, leash walking and sitting are a few of the things we've worked on. Check back often for updates. When she starts her 30 days, I'll be sure to share.'     Hi! My name is Sir Otis! I am one happy and bouncey guy! I am so thankful to be in my foster home and out of the shelter! My foster mom says that I am perfect. She says that I am super smart, sweet, I listen well, and am learning the new digs pretty quickly. She also constantly tells me how cute I am, I mean what can I say I kind of have it going on! I walk pretty well on a leash, I know how to sit, shake, go to my crate, and go to my bed. I love to please, so I am willing to do anything if asked and given kisses! I love to be with my people and am so thankful that my new home lets me be inside! I love it inside! I get along well with my ... I have to go through heartworm treatment so I should be ready around the second week of November. Let me know if you want to get on my list until then. Thanks! Chao!     Hello my name is Truett!! I am 8 months old as of September. I came to LBR because I accidentally got out of my old house and got hit by a car. Since I was found I had to have a pretty serious hip surgery called FHO surgery. I will have to recover and do some physical therapy for the next 8-10 weeks. Over that time I will be able to meet people but my foster mom says I need to heal from surgery first. I should be able to go on meet and greets starting mid October. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi Everyone! My name is McGee, as in Special Agent McGee, but my foster mom says I'm still a probee. I'm about 5 months old and I'm currently learning the ropes, so that I can grow up and go on special missions, like the big dogs. I'm learning all of the call signs so that I can communicate effectively with my commander. I am super smart and have already learned the signs for 'sit' and 'good boy' and am working on 'wait' and 'down'. I live with 2 skin sisters that I love, along with a cat, that I sometimes like to chase, but don't worry, I don't want to hurt him. I'm just curious and want to play. I also have 3 fur siblings in my foster home ... (Read More)and though I'm not really in to playing rough, I do like to do boxer burns in the back yard and wrestle with my my fur sister. My foster mom says that I'm so silly and very calm for a puppy. My favorite thing is to climb in my foster mom's lap for snuggles and a nap. I am currently working through some skin issues that I came in to LBR with, but I should hopefully be ready to come home with you in a few weeks and I can meet you any time! If you'd like to meet me, please contact my foster mom to set up a meeting. Lots of slobbery kisses, McGee. See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2764 (Less)

I'm Finn. I am a 1-2 year old white Boxer with a sweet disposition. I love people; especially ones that give me peanut butter, car rides, and let me snooze on the couch. I get along with the dogs and people I have met here at my foster home, including my foster skin brother who is three. I love his hugs and scratches behind my ears. I have impeccable house manners, am house trained, walk well on a leash and am 100% comfortable with being in my crate, but would rather be part of the family.     'Hey there, I'm Hotchner. Chics dig me; I have a gnarly scar on my leg so that automatically gets me in good with the ladies. You see, I was involved in a nasty accident that caused an injury to my leg. There's no need to be concerned with what happened; I forgot all about it as soon as the good people at Legacy rescued me and got me all fixed up! I am of a smaller to medium build, well shorter anyway. I like my food & treats so my foster mom says that makes me a little fluffy, whatever that means. I just want to make sure that's what you really want me to do before I do it and you change your mind. The only things I get in a hurry for is when it's time to eat or when I see some squirrels or birds or cats that need to be chased. If you have these things in your backyard, I can be the critter patrol for you, free of charge. I love me some little kids. There are some little girls that live next door and I just love when they come to say hi to me. I wiggle my nub so much my whole rear end waddles back and forth. I'm very gentle with them too. I like to stand right next to them and if they sit down I want to be in their lap but I don't jump or pounce. I just want them to pet me and love on me. I also get along with other dogs of all sizes. We see lots of them when we are out walking and I'm always friendly; even when they are grouchy I just ignore them. Now, my foster brother on the other hand, he's much younger and more energetic than me. Sometimes he is just too much and I try to give these warning noises for him to settle down but I never try to bite him. Foster Mom tells me 'no' so I listen to her; I'm a pretty good boy. If you want to know more about me or better yet, want to meet me, let the good folks at Legacy know so we can set it up. Hope to see you soon!'     'Hi there! I am so excited that you are stopping by my page and know you are going to be impressed with my sweet little self! I'll start out by telling you that I will need to stay with my foster family for a while. The vet told my foster mom that I have a skin infection and a mild case of Demodex mange. That's okay, because I am taking medicine and really hope to be all better before you know it. I don't go back to the vet for a follow up until late October, so I won't be available for adoption before then. In the meantime, it hasn't slowed me down and I am having fun playing with the fur kids at my foster home. I really like to play & ... (Read More)play & play some more. I have so much energy that it is a good thing there are two fur playmates here. I can wear one out and still have another one to play with....we have so much fun!!! I love to be outside and do Boxer burns in the big backyard and play chase with the fur kids here. I can even run faster than them, so I usually win the race!! There are lots of toys here, but I would rather play with the fur kids, or help them chase after the laser light. I have gotten along with all the doggies I have met and am nothing but wiggles whenever I see a new playmate. I am also very happy when I meet new people and with all this enthusiasm, I could accidentally knock over a toddler. I just can't control my wiggle waggle when I am so excited!! I was afraid in the beginning, but learned to use the doggie door after a few days and now it is hard to keep me inside. I also haven't had any pottie accidents lately and this makes my foster mom & dad very happy. Being outside and exploring the backyard is so much fun and also one of my favorite places to be! I don't like when I have to come inside, but my foster mom & dad don't want me to get sunburned. I know how to sit and understand what ''no'' means, but don't always listen. I am learning other things like off, down, shake, leave it and how to walk on a leash. I hate being confined, or restrained, so me and that leash aren't friends yet. I really like when foster mom gets excited and I get these yummy treats for doing what she asks. I will go in the crate to get a treat, but I just don't like being confined to such a small area. I have never chewed on anything I shouldn't, but I am a hungry, growing young lady. I always finish eating before everyone else and will help you finish whatever is on your plate, or in your bowl. You must not like it as much as me since it is taking you so long to eat! At night, I sometimes cuddle up next to one of the fur kids on their doggie bed, but I have another spot that I like even better. My foster mom and dad let me sleep in their bed and I get to snuggle up really, really close! This is my very favorite place to sleep!! My foster family thinks I will do best in a home with a yard, another doggie companion and no more than 4 continuous hours of crate time. I don't spend more than an hour or two in the crate at my foster home, as someone is almost always home. Once I am older and have learned all the rules, then it might be okay to leave me uncrated. Please reach out to your adoption counselor if you are interested in meeting me. Please also remember that we are currently not sure when I will be released, but hope to have a better understanding of the timeline when we follow up with the vet in late October. My foster mom & dad tell me that I am a very good girl and that I deserve the very best family of my own. They will be sad when it is time for me to leave, but many pictures and updates will be required from my new family. Thanks Again! Love Wrigley!     Hi my name is Gavin. I'm a white male boxer with natural ears, neutered and a docked tail with a wiggly butt. I'm not deaf, I hear you loud and clear. I love to play rough house with my foster parents two other boxers. I especially love playing with my LBR brother. I'm currently healing from surgery for getting fixed and had a tumor removed from one of my paws. Things are going well and I'm recovering great.     'Hi! I'm such a sweet sugar-face they named me Candy. I was brought to a shelter after living in the back yard all my life ( 6- 8 yrs). My ''family'' was going to have me put down. I was so covered in ticks they couldn't tell if I had any other lumps/bumps or not. Well I am clean and tick-free now. There were so many blood-sucking ticks, it left me anemic, so I had to get my health back, have a benign tumor removed and undergo Heartworm treatment .Now, I'm all better and I can go home with you.My Fom ( Foster Mom ) is AMAZED at how much energy I have now, compared to when she 1st got me. Now that I am healthier, my Fom will help me lose a few pounds. I have a Fob ( Foster Brother) and we get along very well. I am very good about getting in my crate. Sometimes, when I see Fom putting on her work uniform, I just go ahead and put myself in the crate. I don't make much noise, so you have to ask me if I want out. Otherwise, I might just find a nice spot indoors to go, but I am learning that is not really people's favorite. ( I have never had an accident in my crate.) Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Tucker is an energetic 4 year old boy that is full of kidney bean dances and wiggles! He currently lives with 2 skin sisters (7 years old and 2 years old) and he just loves them to pieces. Tucker can be a little jumpy during introductions, but he calms down pretty quickly with some correction. He is currently the only dog in the foster home, but so far he has gotten along great with other dogs. His fur cousin is a Great Dane and he just loves to play and bounce around with him. Tucker has not had any accidents in the house or crate. He gets in his crate fairly well (with some treat bribes), and once he is in there he does not whine. ... (Read More)Tucker does need some basic leash training because right now he likes to pull and lead, but he is easily corrected when reminded that he needs to mind his manners. He is easily excited and doesn't act like a 4 year old at all%BD'%BD|he has the spirit of a 2 year old. He loves to be around his people! He loves cuddles and snuggles, and he likes to give gentle (not slobbery!) kisses when asked. He has shown no aggression with food or toys, and no aggression towards other animals (although he likes to chase squirrels in the backyard%BD'%BD|but who doesn't?). He also knows some basic commands like sit, lay down, and shake. We think that Tucker would do great as an only dog, or with other dogs. We aren't sure how he is around cats, but I don't think he would mind much. See my complete bio at http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2701 (Less)

'Hi, Friends! Thanks for stopping to meet me. I'm Tanker, a boxer boy of about 75 pounds. I was a stray before and too young to remember my birthdate, so my foster mom is estimating I'm just over a year old. My teeth are really clean and I'd love to show you how I can chew on a rawhide or rubber toy. I love to play rough and wear out my foster brother and sister doing so. Sometimes I even jump around like Tigger! It would make me really happy to have a fur brother or sister in my forever home as I've got a lot of energy to burn.     Juve is my name, and my team is Juventus FC. I am still a puppy at only 1 1/2 years old, so I have puppy energy, and I will need a family who wants to work on training with me. I am recovering from Heartworm Treatment, and I can start meeting my new friends about the middle of May. I live with three other boxers, two boys and one girl, and we all get along great. I am housetrained and crate trained (if you put cookies in there for me). I have learned to sit for a cookie at my new foster home. I never knew before I came to this house that there were things I need to learn, like sit, down and shake, so I'm working on those. No wire ... (Read More)fences for me please. I was injured on one, and then I was caught climbing one at the Vet's office. See my complete bio at http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2655 (Less)

'My name is Martha and I would love to live my senior years with you. I am ~10 years old, but that doesn't slow me down. I give the best nub wags and kidney beans around. My foster mom says I have those nasty heartworms, but due to my age, I cannot do the regular treatment. So, all you will have to do is watch me carefully the days I get my prevention. When I got out of the shelter, I had 5 lumps on me, including one ulcerated one. :( LBR promptly got me to the vet and they were able to be removed. Yay for benign lumps! No cancer for me. I was also spayed. I can get kind of growly around my foster sister, but I think it's because ... (Read More)she wants my food! We have been much better behaved now that I'm used to her. I am perfectly happy with my foster brother. I am crate trained and house trained. I love to curl up and take naps. Will you please be the one I get to curl up with and lay my head with furever???     'Hi everyone! My name is Cuddles and I'm about the sweetest little boxer girl you will ever meet. When I first came to LBR I had heart worms so I had to be treated to get rid of them. I just got home from seeing Dr. Fuller and guess what! The nasty heart worms are all gone and I'm ready to find my forever family. I am very happy, healthy and ready to share my boxer hugs and kisses with the right family. I'm a little boxer girl with beautiful eyes and a happy disposition. I get along fine with other dogs but Mom says I'm a little too curious with the cats for comfort. (I don't get it. When I chase them they run and hiss. That seems ... (Read More)a little rude to me.) I might be better in a home without cats. I am housebroken and Mom thinks I probably lived in an apartment before because when she asks if I need to go potty I always run to the front door by the leashes. I don't like crates though and you have to really work to get me in there, but I'm a good girl once I am. I love going for walks and playing in the back yard. I don't bark much (except when I really don't want to go into the crate) and Mom calls me 'Cuddle Bug' because I'm affectionate. I've heard other little girls sometimes are called 'My Princess.' I really want to be someone's princess so if you would like to meet me I'm ready to meet you and the world now! Only 2 of my puppies survived (Joy and Vixen) and they have since found their furever homes!! I'm so ready to find mine! My foster mom says I'm deaf, so I'll need someone who can be patient with me and learn how to communicate with me. My foster mom is trying to teach me some signs, too.     Hi, my name is Chicklet and I am a spunky and fun loving 2 year old brindle boxer girl. I am a small pocket boxer weighing 40 pounds; i am light on my feet and love to wiggle and dance around. I have a happy go lucky spirit, have lots of high energy but also like to settle down and nap. I am sometimes particular about my dog friends especially if they like to dominate. I love to run around and play with the 1 year old boxer boy here in my foster home; he is submissive.     Hello my name is Jax. I'm a 4 year old white male that weighs in at 69 lbs. I am not deaf and can hear everything I choose to acknowledge. I do know a couple of commands but need further training to help me broaden my horizons. I am crate and house trained but I usually roam around the house with my two boxer foster sisters. I sleep on a dog bed in the bedroom at night. I'm good with the female dogs but I tend to show the other male dogs that I'm bigger than they are and my foster family currently keeps me separated from them. I get to eat alongside the girls when I'm eating and I really don't mind if they play with my toys, even when I'm ... (Read More)playing with them. I'm a little leery of meeting new people and will bark at them when they first come in the room but I'm very friendly and loving once I've gotten to know them. I'm never aggressive with people just fearful at first. Once I know you I'm a big, lovable boxer boy that likes to lay my head in your lap and get his ears rubbed. I had a problem with my skin and had a little hair loss that may or may not grow back but I'm ok now. If you think you might be the perfect match for me give me a call and we'll get together.     My name is Oslo, just like the capitol of Norway. I am white as the snow on the mountains (except for a little brown forehead patch that is fading into white as I mature). I'm not anywhere near as old as a glacier though. I have a warm personality and have my moments of silliness. I'm a pretty mellow guy overall and napping, eating and snuggling are my favorite activities. I trot around the yard and even slow gallop and my foster mom says it is lovely to watch. I like to roll in the grass, get a little sun while watching my foster mom sit in a lawn chair, and just be with my humans in general. I am a tad hard of hearing (from age) but ... (Read More)I know my name and my nickname 'Little Old Man.' I'm ok with calm dogs and don't take kindly to crazy, wild puppies. I'm crate trained and do woo woo/yodel for a bit, but then I settle down. My most interesting feature is my one handsome eye - I lost the other eye (I wasn't able to tell my foster mom how it happened). It doesn't bother me at all, though I prefer being greeted from my seeing side. I'm best around kids older than 12 who will respect my age and love me. I'm good on the leash and I like my harness.     Hi. I'm Tara. Thanks for reading about me. I may be a little older then some of the other kids at LBR that you may read about, but I still have so much energy and love to give. I have learned that squirrels can run really fast when I chase them, and birds are pretty fast too! I am around 7 years old and have a little grey in my face, but don't let that fool you. I like to play with some toys and I love to chew! I will spend hours sitting next to you and contently chew on my bone. I like other dogs but I am self assured and will stand up for myself if I need to. I don't have the energy of some of those youngsters, so I don't think I ...     Hey there! My name is Cleverley! I am the wiggliest little girl you will ever meet! I have a lot of fun at myfoster home. There are two big boxer boys and a smaller boxer girl here that I love to play with and the dog beds are great too! While I love my friends here, I do need time to get to know new doggy friends when I first meet them. My foster parents have introduced me to everybody with a crate introduction, and after not too long, I am good to go! I weigh in at 56 pounds. I am amazing in my crate, I go right in with no protests and just curl up for a nap. I am great in the car and walk well on a leash. My favorite thing is to give ... (Read More)kisses. I also love to be petted and curling up next to my foster mom on the couch. I had to get healthy the first couple of months I was with my foster family; I had to get spayed, have a couple of lumps removed, and have heart worm treatment. All that is behind me now and I am as good as new! I am also so ready for what my foster mom calls my 'furever' home. She told me about it, and it sounds amazing! I can't wait to have a family to call my own and be loved forever. If I sound like your kind of girl, let my foster mom know, I hope to meet you soon!      'Hi there! My foster mama named me Petunia, because I'm a pretty little girl...just like a flower! I am just a tiny little girl at 40ish lbs, which makes me the perfect size to fit in your lap! Which is my preferred place to be. I came to my foster home in May 2013. I just love my fur siblings so much, including my kitty sister, that I haven't wanted to leave. My foster parents don't think I've ever lived inside before, so I am soaking up the good life of laying on the couch snuggling with my foster mom. I had worms living in my heart when I first arrived, but we quickly had them evicted. I sleep in my crate during the day when my ... (Read More)foster parents are working. I use to hate my crate, but I'm not scared anymore because my foster sisters and brother are right next to me. I am house trained, but still have the occasional 'accident' in the house. I walk pretty well on a leash if I have my harness on, but if a doggie gets to close or a bunny runs by, I will pull. I do know 'sit', but don't always do it. My foster mom says I can be stubborn. But I just flash my sad puppy dogs eyes at her, give her sweet kisses and she forgets all about that 'stubborn' stuff. I still need some work on that training stuff mom is always talking about. When I first arrived here I didn't know what to think of my kitty sister, so I would just sit and stare at her forever!!!! But now we are friends and love to chase each other around the house. I also didn't know anything about toys or how to play. My foster brother tried and tried for months to play with me and I just sat and looked at him like he had three heads! Not anymore, now I LOVE to wrestle with him. I particularly enjoy biting his ankles!!! I also like to play tug-o-war on occasion or will play with a squeaky toy. We also have deer antlers to chew on! I really LOVE those as well!!! I am somewhat dog selective and need slow intros with other dogs. I tend to be a little reactive and do not like dogs I don't know being all crazy and in my face. I do better with non-reactive submissive dogs. Even though I need time to warm up to dogs, I really need to have a fur brother to be with and play with as I don't like to be alone. So my new family will need to understand that I need slow intros with other dogs and need to watch me closely to make sure I continue to behave. My new family will also need to be patient with me in the beginning as I'm not a big fan of change/new things. Oh and I am kid friendly. I especially love the little ones, they are the perfect height for giving kisses. I am really the sweetest little girl. So, if you're looking for a sweet lap dog to play with your submissive male and give you lots of kisses and don't mind snoring, then I'm your girl! But, If you're looking for a dog park dog, an only dog, a dog to take everywhere with you or have lots of playdates, please check out the other fabulous fosters on the available page. Let my foster mom know if you would like to know more about me, or would like to meet me. Lots of boxer nub wiggles and kisses!     Hello there, my name is Zia! It means splendor or light, and I bring lots of it to my foster home. I meet everyone at the door with my ears perked up and my whole body wiggling with excitement, I love to have people come over for a visit! My favorite thing in the world is to go for a walk or a ride in the car, I love to see the world and everyone in it. Like any respectable lady I've got excellent manners and perfect people skills, what more could you ask for? I am a middle-aged girl at about 5-6 years old, but there's plenty of life and spunk left in me don't you worry. I'm queen bee at my foster home, you see I've been a mama dog many ... (Read More)times and I always have to make sure that everyone is in line doing as they're told. I love children and really enjoy following them around and watching them as they play, just like a good mama should. I'd love to find a forever home with some kids just for me! I'm friends with the other dogs in my foster home, but I'm perfectly happy to be the princess and the center of attention. I prefer the couch or bed as opposed to my crate, but I promise to be a good girl and leave things just as you left them. Any good hostess meets her guests at the door with a smile and a hug, that yucky crate just cramps my style so please just leave me out to rule my roost while you're away! If you'd like to add some light to your life, let the nice people at Legacy know that Zia is the girl for you. I promise to meet you every day with a hug, smile, and my extra-special wiggle!     Howdy! Name's Wylie, nice to meet ya! I'm an older guy who loves life and still has plenty of energy left, so don't let this gray face fool you. I can run and bounce around just like any young whipper-snapper, come on over and I'll show ya. I'm about 11 years young and have plenty of stories to tell, just look into my big brown eyes and you'll see that I've been around the block a time or two. Speaking of the block, I really enjoy my daily walks and have perfect leash manners. I love to see the sights and take time to smell the roses. There are a couple of other dogs in my foster home and they're okay, but I'd much rather have my people ... (Read More)all to myself. I've spent 11 years sharing my attention, I don't think some special snuggle time is too much to ask for! Children are cute and all, but since I'm getting on in years I'd probably to better with older kids who will respect my space and leave me alone to enjoy my naps and quiet time. One of the many great things about adopting an older gentleman like myself is that I'm already house trained, crate trained, and know all the basic commands. What's not to love? I love having people come over to visit, I've got a great wiggle and a million dollar smile. Won't you come over and meet me? We can go for a nice walk and afterwards I'll tell you one of my special stories! I've got all kinds of time to kill and there's nothing else I'd rather do than spend it with you.     Well hello there, my name is Winston. It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm a big ol' teddy bear looking for his forever family after my first one decided they didn't want me anymore. I'm a happy go-with-the-flow kind a guy though, so I'm perfectly content to be just about anywhere as long as I have people who love me. I'm a good guard dog and take my responsibility very seriously, I always make sure you know when someone is at the door and when the mailman comes to drop off any goodies for you. There might be something in there for me, you know! I've always lived with other dogs and get along great with everyone. I used to live with kids ... (Read More)too, my whole face lights up when I see them. I would do better with kids that are a little bit older, you see I'm a bigger boy and might knock the little ones over, but I mean no harm! I like to think I'm full of marshmallow fluff because I'm as sweet as they come. I love to play with toys and fetch like a champ, so if you have some older kiddos I'd love to romp around the backyard with them. I'm about 7 years young, so I know how to potty outside, stay in my crate while you're gone, and I will even sit and shake for a treat! I know, I know... I'm a pretty fun guy! So you think you might want to have me join your family? I'd love that! Just let my foster dad know and I'll be over in a jiffy. It's a date!     Want to meet the best kept Secret here at Legacy Boxer Rescue? Miss Secret is a very special girl. She is super sweet and loves her foster momma time. She is the best cuddler and loves to get up on the couch with you and hang out. When she first came to my house, she was scared of just about everything and had to learn how to be a dog again. In the time she has been here, she has learned to go outside to potty (with a doggie door), go in her crate with the point of a finger, and play with toys. Although she gets along great with her fur-siblings, it takes her a while to get used to new dogs. Secret has never chewed on anything in my ... (Read More)home, counter-surfed, or gotten into the trash. She is such a well behaved girl that she is left out of her crate even when I'm not home. Secret would love to go to a home where she had a brother to keep her company and parents that will let her curl up in the bed. This special girl has wiggled her way into my heart and I know she will do the same to you. Secret can't wait to meet you!     I want to be the first to let you know that while I may have grey on my face, I am spunky!! As far as love goes, I have TONS to give. I promise you will see it in my big, brown eyes. What am I looking for? A nice comfy bed and a family that will love me would be perfect. If don't have other animals in the house, that's okay. If you do, that's okay too. I'm happy either way. As you can see, I don't ask for much. I'm even a light eater and I only weigh 51 pounds. I'm just a dainty little girl. I hope to see you soon.
