'Please allow me to introduce you toČ'Ř| Me, Roxie! I've heard it's not polite to introduce yourself, but I'm a friendly girl and I love to meet new people. As a matter of fact, my three favorite things in the whole world are hanging out with people, cuddling with people, and going places with people. I'm a people-dog. I also love to walk or jog on a leash. I'm a good girl; I know not to pull. I know how to ring a bell to let you know I need to go outside. I like to play in the water. I can even kayak if you're willing to row. Due to changing life circumstances and family structure my current people feel I would do best in a different ... (Read More)home. I trust them. I know they want what's best for me. Fortunately, the people at Legacy Boxer Rescue have agreed to help me find new people. I'm looking for a home where I can be an only dog. Even though I'm a people-dog, I'm not a dog-dog. My ideal new home would have a soft bed for me and good food. Most importantly my new people should have kind words and loving hands to pet me. I know I'm asking a lot, but I'm worth it. In return for all of that, I'll repay you with my boundless love, unending loyalty, and complete devotion.' Animal ID: 15426Dalahni (female)

Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

'My name is Dalahni (Da-Lawn-ee). I am a cutie patootie 2 to 3 year old white Boxer weighing in at 52 lbs. I am deaf, but I don't let that stop me. I am a very smart girl. I know several commands through hand signals: sit, down, stay, and I'm learning (or re-learning) off. There may be other commands I know, but I haven't clued my Foster Mom in on those yet because I just got here to her home. Oh, and I love cheese. Cheese, cheese, cheese. I will do anything for cheese! I am completely crate trained. I don't fuss a bit when you put me in... although a treat (... like... ummm.... maybe some cheese, perhaps?) would make it easier for me to go ... (Read More)in. I am also house broken. If I need to go potty, I will either walk to the door, or if you ignore me long enough, I will jump up on you to get your attention. Because I'm deaf, I tend to be a velcro puppy. I like to go where you go and wait for you to finish and then go with you to your next project. I do love kids. I like to gently put my paws up on you to get some lovin', so I may accidentally knock smaller kiddos down (remember, I'm learning 'off'), so hopefully I'll be better around smaller ones soon. My Foster home has two Boxers... a male and a female. I'm taking my time in getting to know the male. He's a calm 3 year old boy, but it's going to take this girl at least 3 dates (or more!) before I even think about being off leash around him. We have walked around the block together without any incidents, so I am making progress. I need to take my time (lots of time) in getting to know other fur brothers or sisters. And speaking of fur sisters, I'm not comfortable around those four-legged girls at all. Something about them bugs me... a lot! But my Foster Mom says she's not going to give up on me that easily and I will eventually get to know the other Boxer chick that lives here. I say 'humph! We'll see!' I will confess, I am a counter surfer (remember the cheese that I like?). But don't hold that against me. Just give me... wait for it... cheese! I saw the vet and received my 'clean bill of health'! I will be available for meet and greets starting Wed, July 29. And you will see me at Pet Fairs! Until then, please check out the other cool Boxers on this site. There are lots that need good homes! Now I'm off to find some - yep, you guessed it - cheese! Peace out!'     Hi, I'm Sonny, but my mom calls me a Big Hunk of Handsome. Don't let my size scare you. She says I'm a gentle giant. I know how to walk on a leash, get in my crate when told, use a dog door, use my inside voice, and wake my mom if I need to go out in the night. I like other dogs! There are 3 other dogs where I live right now and we are all doing fine. I don't know about small furry things yet, like squirrels or cats. They might be fun to chase. I've discovered I like soft beds. My mom says I didn't have a soft place to lay before and it caused some sores on my legs. But those are getting better everyday. I love hanging around ... (Read More)and snuggling with my people, but I haven't been around any little people yet. I'm pretty sure they're going to love me since I don't jump up. So...whadda ya think? Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi my name is Boosted; my foster mom calls me Boo sometimes. I am a really good girl who is old enough to be past the puppy crazies and know my manners. I know we should walk side by side so we both enjoy the experience. I'm also really good at keeping the house clean and know that my business gets done outside! I'll even hang out in my crate while you're gone. I hardly ever bark at all , so if you live in an apartment or have nosey neighbors I won't bore them with my long speeches to myself. I am really friendly and get along with everyone, even super big fur friends like horses, goats, lambs and donkeys! I really love kids too! I have been ... (Read More)a mama before so I know I need to be careful and gentle with children. When we meet I'll even sit and shake your hand. And when I'm happy, I wag my nub and then entire back end of my body! We call this Boxer kidney beaning. :) See how great I am? I have gotten spayed so no more puppies for me thank goodness! I can give you all my attention now. Unfortunately, I do need treatment for heart worms. That is strange because I don't remember eating worms. My foster mom says that I am a sweet heart, I guess the worms agree. Anyway, they have to go and I don't want them tagging along to my forever home. I should be ready to shake your hand around the beginning of September. All you have to do is shout 'BOO'! Ill be ready to meet you soon! Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Baymax is the perfect name for me. I am super cute and cuddly just like the Pixar character with the same name. I sometimes get confused about about life as an inside dog. Some things that are puzzling me are why my fur brother keeps carrying things around in his mouth and acting so happy when he tosses them around. It also seems crazy that the people keep doing funny things with their hands and holding a piece of apple or hotdog and giving it to me when I do easy things like come to them or sit. Another weird thing is the dog in the shiny glass keeps looking back at me, but he doesn't smell like anything! I was rescued from death row. Can ... (Read More)you believe it? Death row! How did I get there? How did that happen? A handsome, charismatic guy like me stuck in dog jail; and to top it off, one of the other pups in there didn't cover their cough and I caught it! I'll shake it in no time though. Even though my stay in doggie jail was hard, I'm not looking back! I'm getting great care from my foster family. I'm sweet, lovable, wiggly, and super smart! Don't let anything deter you from making this amazing pupp-o yours. I am partially deaf. I hear high-pitched noises and some talking, but sometimes can't tell where the sounds are coming from. My foster family uses both verbal commands and signs to communicate with me. I know signs for eat, come, potty, and no. I'm learning signs for sit, bed, and off. I have not had a single accident in my foster home and really like using the doggie door. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi there, my name is Joey. Thanks for visiting my page! It will be hard for my foster mom to sum up just how perfect I am but she will try! After living outside by myself for a long time (after my family moved away from our house) my person dumped me at the shelter. I was on death row--on my last day, Legacy stepped in and saved me! I'm so happy to be indoors and have food and love that I try to be the perfect guest! I'm house trained and have great manners. I will even go in my kennel for a treat and will stay there when my foster mom leaves. I'm very calm but can jump around with the best of them when my foster mommy comes home! I love ... (Read More)people and kids and I love to snuggle (in the bed if you let me). I have become best friends with my boxer friend that also lives in my foster home--we are great together. My foster mom calls me Little Joe sometimes because I am a little boxer. I was skin and bones when I was pulled from the shelter but I'm gaining weight and looking so much better. I will be neutered soon and need to be tested for Heartworms but I'm ready to start looking for my forever family. Will you give me a chance? Boxer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Cosmo was found as a stray with a very large mass on his right side (in addition to many smaller ones), covered in fleas and very thin. He will need at least two surgeries to remove the masses. He is also heart worm positive so he has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Despite all of that, he is the absolute sweetest boy. He gets along great with his 5 foster siblings, is house and crate trained and is a perfect house guest. His nubbie wags a million miles a minute and he does a great kidney bean! He is going to make a wonderful addition to a very lucky family. While he is working on getting healthy, Cosmo would love to have a ... Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hi I'm Mitch. My foster family says I'm a total sweetheart, one of the gentlest boxers they've ever known. I just love everybody, dog or people alike. My docked tail is constantly wagging and if another dog gets aggressive with me I just go in the opposite direction. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a 3 to 4 year old dark fawn boxer boy with a perfectly full black mask and weigh about 56 lbs. but need to add a few pounds. I have stayed in my crate during the day while the family is out at work but I sometimes whine or bark a little when left alone. I roam the house during the rest of the day and night with no problem. I get ... (Read More)to sleep in the bedroom at night. I'm fully house trained and although I roam the house have never had an accident inside. I like to carry cloth toys around the house, I don't usually chew on them I just wander through the house with them. I do chew on rope and rubber bones in the house but have never chewed on anything I'm supposed to leave alone. I also like to chase a red 'holey roller' ball around the backyard. I like to play tug-of-war with it but my foster Dad is trying to show me that it is better to release it and chase it when thrown. I haven't learned any commands other than 'sit' as of yet but since I am always anxious to spend time with my foster family and love it when they talk and play with me I look forward to future training sessions. I am Heartworm positive and will start treatment in the near future. I'm an energetic fellow when it is time to play but otherwise I like to lay around the house. I love it here with my foster family but will be looking soon for someone to love and further train me. If you're that special family give a call and I'll come for a visit after my Heartworm treatment.     I have recovered nicely from my jaw surgery and have gained 3 lbs in 1 1/2 weeks now that I can eat easily. I am a SPUNKY little boy with tons of cute boxer spirit. I like to play with toys and chase my tail in circles. I am still learning how to potty outside and am doing well in my crate at night. I really love my fur brothers and my momma thinks I would do best in a home where I had a fur playmate or a stay at home mommy. I do not like being alone. Animal ID: 15314Billy (male)

Boxer    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Billy! His life was saved during the last week of May 2015 when he was rescued from the pound in Corsicana. It's obvious from his battle scars (on his neck) that this little guy has had a rough life so far but you'd never know it when you meet him! He's technically a boxer, but I wouldn't be surprised if the vet confirmed that he's part pig -- he oinks, snorts, and snores incessantly. It's kind of his trademark! He also has the Curious Case of Benjamin Button thing going on -- his face full of cute wrinkles. Billy is one of the biggest wigglers I've ever seen! His entire body wiggles with his tail when he's happy (which is like ... (Read More)all the time). For a dog that has most likely lived on a chain and then as a wanderer after he broke free, he is surprisingly really easy to housetrain. He gets the idea after one solid 'no.' He doesn't chew, bark, whine, scratch, attempt to dominate, or show aggression at all! He is crate trained after only 4 days and he's almost 90% potty trained. He gets along perfectly with other dogs, kids, and even strangers (neighbors). He just wants a lot of love! This lil' guy is going to go fast! Update 6/17/2015 Billy is 100% house trained and uses a doggie door. He is on medical hold until July 24 as he is finishing treatment for heartworms and hookworms. His battle scars have healed nicely and his playful and curious personality has really come to light within the past two weeks. Please reach out if you're interested in Billy!'     'My name is Mycroft, dear ladies and gentlemen. I am named after the oldest brother of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. I am a distinguished looking gentleman with subtle silvering around my muzzle and super soft fur. Do not let that fool you! I have tons of energy!! You should see my moves. My foster mom says I'm 'springy.' I am quite agile and might like to try agility classes some day. I like to meet new people and sometimes forget to keep all four feet on the floor. Sometimes when I'm on my walk, I forget to greet other dogs without using foul language. I am working on this though. I like being around other dogs and hanging out with them, just don't really like not playing with them (I don't think I would like dogs parks at all). I DO like playing with my toys, going on walks, getting ear scratches, lounging on the couch, and hanging out with people. I've got a lot of love to share with you.     Hello, I'm Butterfly. I'm a beautiful dark brindle mature petite Boxer lady. I may only have the short fragile life of a butterfly left. Unfortunately, I have soft tissue sarcoma, a type of cancer that is destined to return. I was rescued from the shelter with a Nerf football size sarcoma on my front leg that was so large that the wound from removal was impossible to close. The best way to treat this type of cancer is to amputate my leg; however, my back legs are not strong enough for that and I have heart worms so that is not a possibilty. Being a mature dog and still in recovery, I'm not as strong as I once was but I can still manage to ... (Read More)walk about a mile if we go slowly and I get a few rest breaks. I would much rather be around people than other dogs since I don't like to play much anymore. I would love more than anything to meet you. You will know how happy I am because my nubby tail will be a blur and I will stand as long as you are there. I so adore meeting new people. I'm not sure I will be able to find my fur-ever home, but don't feel sorry for me. I have the best foster home and I'm making the most of the time I have left! I really enjoy sunning myself and rolling in the grass, and of course meeting new people! Please think of me fondly the next time you see a butterfly flit by. Animal ID: 15253Orion (male)

Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hello- my name is Orion. Let me start off by telling you that my foster parents literally saved my life. I was at an animal shelter that wanted to end my existence just because I had a really bad cold. Can you imagine being put to death because of a bad cold? Well, they couldn't either so they got me outta there. I am so grateful to be alive that I thank them everyday with gentle hugs and tender kisses. My foster family told me that they would help me during my journey to my true family. They say there is one out there. A family that will share their love with me, give me a place where I can romp and play and eat and sleep and then play ... (Read More)some more. Ahhhh, but I digress, let me tell you some more about my journey to find YOU. After I shook off that nasty cold, I had to do my part to help end the overpopulation of dogs. While sitting in that shelter facing death, I looked around at all the other terrified dogs. None of us knew if we'd ever feel love again, afraid we'd never see the next minute, the next hour or the next day. And I said to myself, I'd never want my sons or daughters to feel like this. So, snip, snap, took care of that. Soon after that I had to be treated for heartworms. I was like, what do you mean, worms? I don't dig in the dirt so how did I get worms? Well, it seems that someone in my previous life neglected to give me a tasty pill once a month that prevents these worms that come from infected mosquitoes not digging in the dirt. Boy, that was a long 30 days. I wasn't allowed to play, run or romp. My foster mom was pretty strict about it except that one time. I was behaving so well that she took me off leash in the yard after dinner so I could fertilize the grass. I was so excited to be off leash that when I was done, I bolted back to the house like a race horse. Foster mom freaked out, but I gave her kisses and told her I wouldn't do it again. Speaking of leashes, I LOVE to go for walks. I get so excited when foster mom is putting on her walking shoes, but I know to sit and wait for the leash to be put on. I'm very curious about the world out there, but I like to take in all in with a nice stroll. I'm sure I know everyone because when I see a dog or a person across the street, I stop and try to remember where I know them from. I'm sure if I stare long enough, they will tell me, but foster mom gently nudges me and we continue our walk. I am living with 2 other boxers and I loves them just fine. My fur foster brother likes to be chased around the backyard. Seriously, he does, so I indulge him from time to time. I have lots and lots of toys to play with. I have a favorite one that foster mom will throw and I'll chase it, grab it and shake it ferociously. I like to play keep away with my fur foster brother. My fur foster sister thinks all the toys are hers so she will come take it from me and I'm ok with that. There's plenty of other toys to toss around. We have big dog beds that we all sleep on together. Plus on special nights we all get to sleep in the bed with the foster parents. I don't sleep on the bed the entire night because foster Mom is a restless sleeper, so I'll end up on the dog bed on the floor so she can rest better. I'm considerate like that! Foster mom tells me that I've got great manners. I'm not sure what manners are, but I do know that if I want to eat my meals, I've got to sit and wait to be released. Oh, I like to savor my food. I don't see the point if inhaling it when I can savor each piece of kibble. I always drop some pieces on the floor so when I finish what's in my bowl, I can be like...Oooh, look, dessert. I absolutely love special treats. Before foster mom leaves for work, we have to go to our kennels to get a small milkbone. When she comes home, she makes us sit and we each in turn get a baby carrot. Sometimes we get a piece of banana or get to lick yogurt off a spoon. Foster mom says that's manners, I sit patiently and wait for my turn to get a special treat So now that I've told got a little about me, when do you want to meet up? I'd like for you to see how absolutely awesome I am in person.'     'Presley here, no not Elvis Presley but mom jokes with me sometimes and always sings these crazy songs. I'm a handsome little man. Weighing currently about 50 lbs and should be between 55-60 lbs when I'm fully ready for adoption. Mom says with another dog I am spunky, goofy and playful and I can agree. I really need a companion in my forever home to show me the ropes and that it's okay to be a dog and have fun and what's allowed and not allowed. I am more or less lost without one. I don't play, I don't cuddle, I honestly am just confused and unaware of what I can do.I have always been with another dog and that's a requirement for my ... (Read More)forever home and mom said she isn't going to budge on that. I'm sorry but she knows what's best for me and what will make me happy. I truly am a good dog. My fur sister and I always play and I'm so gentle and submissive around her. Also, we eat right next to each other with no problem (sometimes when she eats too slow I'll try to get some but mom always tells me no and I get away). We love to play with toys together and play tug a war. I also don't mind when she has a rawhide or bone and we just wrestle back and forth taking turns who gets to chew when. I don't mind you taking away toys or food at all, mom has even put her hands in my food and I got really confused but she said I needed to be tested. I am starting to come out of my shell more and more everyday and I do know my name Presley now. It took a little while but now I know when they call me. I do good on walks with another dog as well. Without another dog I have no leash manners and pull hard. But when I go walking with my fur sister I don't pull or even leave moms side. Okay, saved the best part for last! I don't bark or cry. My family and I and my sister live in a town home and I make a perfect apartment dog! I also love meeting new people and have the most wiggly butt mom has ever seen. Currently I am fighting some skin issues. Nothing contagious or any form of mange. Just from being outside all my life, something happened. I have a recheck on a vet appointment on 6/29 and should have more of an update then. Until I am cleared I will not be able to meet anyone for my sake and moms sake but as well as we need to figure out what's wrong with me. At this time, it looks like the medication we have been using has helped tons. In the long run I need to stay on this medication for life is that's the case. That would cost my future family about $22 a month for the pills and $20 for the special shampoo (which only needs to be done once a week) and that bottle should last you a few months. It is a little expense but my true forever family won't mind the little extra to give me what I need. I'm worth the wait, trust me. ''You aint nothing but a hound dog, crying all the time...''' Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'My name is Watson, dear friends. I'm named after Sherlock's friend and sidekick. Like my namesake, I like drawing conclusions. Sometimes I draw the wrong conclusions about other dogs. So I would be best as an only dog. I want to be the king of my castle, get all the attention, have all the toys! It's not a bad thing; it's just what I prefer. I'm only 5 years old but I have an old soul. I'll go on a walk with you. I walk nicely on my leash, but I don't want to go very far or get there very quickly. I'd rather just hang out with you on the couch and discuss the meaning of life. I am super soft, so you'll like getting to pet me...a lot! I ... (Read More)like to tuck in early and get up early. I'm good at using the dog door and I'm potty trained. I don't have a strong signal for going outside, so a dog door really helps me out and helps you out too. It's a win-win situation. Confession- I'm nosey. I really like to know what you have on the counters! I'll raise up to see what you've got up there and if I can reach it, I might help myself. Fortunately, I'm not that tall, so just push things to the back. I'm good at hanging out in my crate while my foster family is away. I like to talk to myself while I'm in there. I have a lot to say and it keeps me from getting bored. If you live in an apartment, your neighbors might not appreciate my philosophical soliloquies. I sleep in my crate at night because man can I saw some logs! Sometimes I can really get going. That's a sign of some good sleep. I'm not super playful but I do have a favorite toy that I will bring back to you if you throw it for me. Because I have an old soul, high energy little kids aren't really my thing. I want to hang out with cool older kids or adults. I promise to keep you company and be your couch potato sidekick. He is on thyroid meds which are inexpensive and given once a day.' Just ask for Watson. I'll be waiting patiently.' Animal ID: 15120Drizzle, Adopt Pending (male)

Boxer Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hi! My name is Drizzle, I was born on 2/25/2015 and I'm such a joy to have around. Why do I know that? Because my foster mommy says it to everyone! :) I currently live with two fur siblings and I love playing with them. I also have 2 skin brothers and I love them too! I can be a little rough at times, but hey, that's a puppy thing! :) My current humans and my fur brother and sister are teaching me to go potty outside (I'm almost a pro at that!) and they're teaching me all of the house rules. I heard them say I'm a fast learner, yay! I'm such a good puppy. :) My real mommy is a beautiful boxer, but I don't know much about my daddy. ... (Read More)Someone said he was probably a lab because I have webbed feet and my face looks a little bit like a lab puppy, how cool is that!!??! I think this makes me a very special and awesome puppy. I know I will make the perfect companion and I will protect you too! Yes, I'm learning that from fur siblings and it's a lot of fun! I'm pretty much crate trained, my mommy gives me something yummy every time I go in there. Sometimes I cry for the first minute or two, but then I get quiet and I sleep. At night I'm a good boy and I only ask to go outside one time. Did you just hear that? I ask to go potty! I don't just go on the floor, I make a little sound to wake my foster mommy to go potty outside. There have been nights in which I didn't have to go until 7:00am and my foster mommy was amazed. I think I'm growing up and I'm able to hold it a little longer. I love, love, love toys and I can play fetch and tug of war and I love to run to my foster mommy when she calls me. I'm currently learning to walk on the leash, I will have it down in no time at all. So why am I writing all this? Because I'm looking for an awesome forever family where I can play, run around, learn new rules, take naps and be loved. In return, I will love you unconditionally and I will be your devoted and faithful companion. If you think I'm the right doggie for you, give my foster mommy a shout! Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Male Dogs Only, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Sweet Princess Gracie Allen is so happy to start looking for her forever home. She is finished with her HW treatment and is all well from her spay. This girl is a beauty. She is, however, selective with her skin and furry friends. For this reason, I think she would do best in a house with older children and possibly as an only dog, or maybe with an older, calmer male.. She is a little shy at first, but warms up pretty quickly after she sees she's safe. She would love to come for a visit. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Whiskey Rye is a three month old puppy with Cerebellar Hypoplasia. What does this mean for him and his new family? It means he will live a normal lifespan and just has some balance/coordination issues. He has already improved tremendously in his time with Legacy. He runs, hops, walks, plays and does everything other dogs do. He is working on potty training and uses a potty pad like a pro! He sometimes falls down when he gets really excited or gets going too fast, but gets right back up and at it. He eats like a champ and already weighs 28lbs as he approaches his three month birthday, so he is going to be a good size boy. He LOVES to ... (Read More)play, especially with his squeaky ball! Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi there! My name is Bossco Boy, but my foster mom and dad call me Boss. I'm your typical senior boxer. I'm 13 years young and very happy! My foster parents tell me I have this condition called Spondylosis that affects my spine - whatever that means. I try not to let that slow me down! They give me medicine every day to help make me feel better. I move and groove pretty well when I take it! I also am heartworm positive, but because of my age, I can't go through treatment. No worries, though! We're doing the slow kill method with monthly heartworm prevention. I'm a very chill guy. I like to sleep all day and play at night. I don't hate my ... (Read More)crate, but my foster parents say I've earned my right to not have to go in one while they're gone. Score! My all-time favorite thing is when my foster mom and dad let me sleep in the bed with them. They have to put me on the bed because I can't jump up there. I don't get to do that very often, but when I do it's awesome! That's it about me! I hope to meet you! See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2865 (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'(Hooper is currently working on some stranger danger issues and is not available at this time. We are hoping to have these resolved by the end of summer or sooner. Fingers crossed for my Hooper.) Hi my name is Hooper and this is my story.... Some good Samaritans saw that I was lost and alone and they gave me some shelter. My foster mom said that they posted my picture on Facebook and eventually my foster mom was tagged in the post to help save me. I was then picked up and taken to Dallas Animal Services to work out my stray hold in case my original owners were trying to find me. They never came for me but then my foster momma came to ... (Read More)the shelter and evaluated me. She approached my kennel but I wasn't too interested in her as so many people had already neglected me that I didn't have much hope. Then in the yard she kept following me, calling me, and once she got me she wiped my boogies and picked some bugs off of me. It was at that moment I knew she loved me. She then left the room and started talking to someone on this little black contraption. Next thing I knew she was putting a leash on me and putting me in her car!! I was so happy to leave that place. The people there were really nice but the other dogs were way too noisy and really needed to take a chill pill. Then we arrived at the new homestead. I have a super soft warm bed, food, water, friends, and I get tons of hugs and kisses every day! I have always been told that this is what Heaven would be like!! I was really sick the first couple of days with something mom called Kennel Cough. I got tons of meds, zero sleep, and lots of love and hugs! Now that I am healed and super happy I get to play with this new girl that looks likes me and throws some sweet boxer punches and some other small curly haired girl that mom calls her sweet poodle. I have gotten to get out of the house a couple of times and I get this cool contraption put on me called a harness, then we are off to the races! I get to see the entire neighborhood with all its sights, sounds, and wonders and now that I know I am not alone I really like going for walks! What a wonderful feeling that is!! I am learning how to be an inside dog. Mom says I have some training to do but I am super smart and will learn quickly. I start my heartworm treatment and rest on January 20th and then will be ready for adoption at the end of February. I already have a list of families waiting to meet me so if you contact my mom about me don't get too depressed if I am not available. She said I am a looker and very popular! My mom says that I need a home where there is not a lot going on. I get very anxious and nervous when people come over. I would rather it just be me and my people, however I am learning to accept new people coming over. I would also not like to be around little kids as they are unpredictable and I don't like unpredictable. Someone who just wants to cuddle and love on me all day, plus give me food and kisses is exactly what I am looking for. Please make sure to microchip and give your pets heartworm preventative!     Adonis is the most beautiful boxer I've seen in rescue. He is well trained and knows how to sit, stay and lay down. He is house trained, house broken and wonderful with other dogs. He is very playful and goofy with squeaky toys. He needs socializing with people and the city environment. He is currently uncomfortable meeting new people. He needs additional training to overcome his fear, but he is well worth the effort. See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2841

'They call me Candy for a few reasons: *I am sweeter than apple pie *My cute face is laced with white sugar *I am addictively lovable Legacy Boxer Rescue saved me when my previous owners dumped me at a shelter after making me live outside for years and years and years!!! So, for the past 13 months, I have been getting medical care and learning to be an inside dog. Now I am ready to become your dog! I have learned about air conditioning in the summer and how nice it is to sleep in a warm place on those icy days. I have learned that climate controlled places are not where doggies go potty. I have learned that I must quietly stay in my ... (Read More)crate when my people put me there. I have learned that humans like to say ''sit'' and that means my bottom half goes on the floor when my top half doesn't! But most of all, I have learned that I am smart enough, good enough and darn it, people like me!!! (And I love them!!) Although I am chronologically an old girl, I have a renewed lease on life and plenty of energy left after all the many years of backyard confinement and neglect. As a mature girl, I have learned not to ever lick more than a couple of times and I never put my mouth on humans -- especially the little kids (who I LOVE)!! I also don't play with toys or chase balls, but I sure love hanging with my people. I am ready and eager to go on walks and car rides, to hear all about your day while I snuggle with you, and I even will talk back to you! I like most other dogs and can be a great buddy to another friendly dog, too. Or, I am happy to be the only pet in the household.     Hey guys, My name is Victoria and I love nothing more than to please and play. I'm around 2 years old and man does my foster mom think I'm still a young playful pup. I like going for runs in the morning and walks in the evening with my foster mom. She says I do great on a leash and man do I get excited when I see the leash being grabbed. I get along great with my fur sister, who is 7 months, we are play, play, play non stop. I understand I have to share the bone with her without aggression but I do like to hide it and make it a game. I also believe I'm a giant lap dog so my host mommy is always sharing her lap with me if I'm not playing. ... (Read More) That big wire thing, well I'm learning.. It's not my favorite to go into however if your bribe me and offer me a little help, I don't cry or bark. Especially if you cover me up with a blanket but still allow me to see my fur sister. So far I haven't had any accidents in mummy's house, so she is thrilled. I'm as sweet as can be to any human I meet, I haven't met one I have had a problem with yet, sometimes I'm a little timid but can you blame me, some people are scary. My mommy says she is gonna have a hard time letting me go but she can't wait to find me my perfect family, especially if they have another dog because I love to play. Mommy said she will write more when she knows more, until then, I'm off to play for awhile and then cuddle. See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2697 (Less)

I would like to introduce you to myself. I am Lola, a 7 year old petite Boxer lady. I am a 45 pound mature lady and already know how to be a really good dog. I know how to sit when you ask me to and if I get too excited all you have to do is ask me to sit and I calm down instantly. I like a clean house so I always go potty outside. I like hanging out in my crate when you're gone and happily greet you when you return. My crate is my very own club house, I love it! (Read More)on my leash. I am sweet and have really good manners so I have no trouble at all meeting new people or dogs and making friends. I really like having company over because I get attention from new people. I love hanging out with kids and adults alike. I also like hanging out with other dogs- big or small, it doesn't matter to me. I can be quite funny and entertain myself with my toys when you are busy or no dogs are around. I am really smart and pick up on routines quickly. For example, I know when it's bed time I am going to get a treat. I really look forward to this like you might like a chocolate or mint left on your pillow. One of my very favorite things is going in the car! There are so many things to see and smell. The anticipation of a new adventure is so exciting. I recently went to a pet fair. I was one of the best days of my life!! There were new people, kids, dogs, AND I got to go in the car! Just thinking about it still makes me wag my tail! I can't wait to have adventures with you. Just tell them you'd like to meet Lola.
