Boxer    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hello! My name is Clooney because I am obviously the most distinguished/handsome man you'll ever meet! I know the grey muzzle is probably the first thing you notice about me but I have more energy than my three year young boxer brother. I love to do those fancy boxer runs in the back yard, chew on toys, but I'm truly a gentle giant teddy bear who wants to be by your side. I do not jump when you present me with your presence but I will lean and hug on you for love when you finally sit down. I like to think 73 pounds is really light and wish to be a lap dog! My foster parents remind me other wise.... I am fully crate and house trained. If you ... (Read More)think I, the dashingly handsome boxer, would be great addition to your family please contact my foster parents! They would love to hear from you! See you soon! Love, Clooney. Animal ID: 16351Olie (male)

Boxer    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'My name is Olie, short for Oliver. Let me tell you my story. My foster mom found me sitting on the sidewalk of a very busy road during rush hour in the rain. I was all alone, wet, scared, and hungry. I initially ran from her, but curiosity got the best of me and I got in her car out of the rain. That was the beginning of my new life. Like many who have come before me, I have had many struggles in my short life. I am less than a year old and struggled for survival on the mean streets of Dallas. I had to forage for the few scraps of food that kept me alive. I was very skinny on that fateful rainy day and my foster mom said she could ... (Read More)see all of the bones in my body. I was also covered in fleas and ticks. They made me very itchy. When I got in her car, all I wanted to do was give kisses because she told me everything was going to be alright. Boy! Was she right! When I arrived at her house, I had a bath to get all of those itchy fleas off of me and got some medication to get rid of the ticks. Unfortunately, the ticks that bit me gave me a disease called Erlichea. It sounds very yucky, but it's completely curable with antibiotics. I am almost finished with my course of antibiotics and after that I am going to get neutered. This sounds a little scary, but I am told that it will keep me from being someone's Baby Daddy. I am just a baby myself and don't need the responsibility of caring for puppies. I just want someone to take care of me! At my foster mom's house, I get fed twice a day'|no more stressing about where my next meal is going to come from. I have gained 7 pounds and am now at a healthy weight. Everyone tells me how handsome I am! I have a warm crate and shelter from the rain. I really love it here, but my foster mom tells me there is an even better home out there for me! I absolutely love people and want to be with you at all times. I do well in my crate, but would prefer to be out and about. I have learned that potty is for outside and will tell you when I need to go outside. I prefer you to come with me as I worry about being left alone again. I love playing with my toys! I have a stuffie and a Kong that I like to chase around the house. I also like playing with other dogs, but I get very worried that they are going to eat my food or treats so I would prefer to be the King of the Castle. Not so long ago I worried about getting enough food to survive, so I have some food issues. I am told I am a Master Cuddler and I give great hugs if I do say so myself! I am happiest just hanging out with my people and can entertain myself with my toys. I would love to have a family of my very own to hug and cuddle with. I would love to go on long walks and eventually runs with my new family. I am really a good boy and promise to love you forever and ever. Please let my friends at Legacy know if you would like to meet me. I will be ready for my forever home in mid- September.     'Hi friends, my name is Hurley and I've been with my foster mom for a few weeks now. I'm very much still a boxer puppy and have lots of energy. I like my toys, I enjoy chewing on things, and I love other dogs. Mom says some people are worried that white boxers can't hear, but I can hear everything! I like to be by moms side most of the time, but I am content with laying on my bed and napping or chewing on a toy. I get VERY excited when I meet new people and mom says I have to work on my jumping...I think I'm a good jumper! She says I hop like a jack rabbit in the back yard. I don't mind my crate too much unless mom leaves the room. She ... (Read More)says I have some separation anxiety...but I just think she should take me with her to work :) It helps having my foster sister in the house when mom leaves us though. Mom says I'm a very sweet baby and love to give boxer kisses. I am still healing from my neuter and a bump they took off my foot. If you think I sound like a good fit for your family, please let Legacy Boxer Rescue know!     My name is Leicester (pronounced les-ter) and I'm new here. When my foster parents get to know me a little, they'll update you. I am named for Leicester City FC that won the Premier League title this year. I like my crate, so that's a big plus! I know how to go up and down stairs. And I love to cuddle and give sloppy kisses. I have to go meet the doctor and have a little surgery, and once I am healed then I will have heartworm treatment. I'll be trying to put on some pounds while I'm convalescing.     'Hi! My name is Orlando. I am still settling in to my new surroundings. As soon as my foster peeps learn more about me, they will update my bio. What they've learned so far is I am crate trained and I am a very strong boy. They say I will be working on something called 'basic commands'. Do you know what ''sit'' and ''down'' means? At two years old I am ALL puppy. I love attention and I love to kiss you! Toys? YES! PLEASE! I like toys! Who doesn't like toys? I like to stay b-u-s-y! I also like to check out what's on that dinner plate on the table - something they call 'counter surfing'. Hey, what does ''off'' mean? ... (Read More)Catch ya later! Boxer    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

''Kevin' means 'kind, gentle, and handsome', and believe us when we say that this two-years-old boy lives up to his name. This sweet boy is deaf, so he likes to hang close to his people; he does very well with other dogs, too. Kevin is learning basic sign language ('potty', 'sit'), and it will not take long for him to master these commands; he is very smart and he works hard if turkey is involved! Kevin's previous owners did not understand that any young Boxer requires training and companionship; Kevin did not get enough of either. As a result, he is a little insecure about being left alone and his communication training needs work. ... (Read More)Kevin would do best with a stay-at-home or work-at-home parent who is willing to continue Kevin's sign-language training and to provide the security of a routine. We know that Kevin would do well in a home that has other dogs to show him the ropes, and he would probably do well in a home that has older children. This guy will give his new family years of fun, love, and devotion. Let us know when you would like to meet Kevin! Animal ID: 16277Ninja (male)

Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hi everyone, my name is Ninja! I have been with my foster family for just a few weeks now. I am super sweet and pretty chill for a boxer. I lay around most of the day on whatever seems comfortable (couch, floor, box, laps). My mom wonders if I'll get some energy back when I am all better though. I still have a few hurdles ahead of me, I'm heartworm positive and currently unaltered. I love to cuddle with my mom! I'm great with the little toddler they have running around here. He tries to be gentle but will roll on me and sit on me sometimes, but I don't mind at all and love the attention. He also gives me kisses and hugs! I'm ... (Read More)pretty quiet too. I rarely bark or make any noise. When my fur-sister starts to bark, I'll occasionally jump in on the fun but not usually. She's an older, smaller dog, and we get along great! We never fight or get angry with each other. She's used to having girls around so I bet she's happy to have a hunk like me around these days %81S I came to my foster family pretty skinny, with my ribs showing. I've since eaten quite a bit and have started to put on some weight. I'll let you know how much I weigh these days after my next check-up next week. They have me on a grain free no poultry diet right now because they think I might have a food allergy. That's okay though, the Salmon and Sweet Potato food they have me on is DELISH! My mom says I am house trained but not crate trained yet. They are working on it with me though. I usually just get free range of the house, if they are home or away, and they have a dog door for me so I use it when I need to go potty, and that's about it. After being outside for a while before I was fostered, this AC they have for me feels way too good to be spending my time outside. Everyone who meets me says I am one cool dog! So calm when people come over and I haven't jumped up on a single one of them. Mom and dad say I will make the best fur baby for whomever adopts me. Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

'Hi, my name is Kaylee. My foster mom says I'm the prettiest little girl she has seen in a long time. I live with foster Mom and Dad, one skin sister plus a fur brother. We have fur friends come spend time with us from time to time. I get alone with everyone. I will say, I could very easily be an only dog in my new home since I love being a princess. I am a good girl when it comes to going outside and doing my business. Also, if you feel more comfortable having me sleep in a crate, I know how to do that as well. I came in into Legacy's care about a month ago. Just as I arrived, I came down with what they call kennel cough. That is ... (Read More)just so funny to me, since I wasn't sick in the kennel but coughed a lot in my foster home. After a couple of weeks, I got well and went for my check up at the nice Vet's office. Now, don't get scared. They say I have these nasty worms. Actually, I have two kinds. One is called hook worms that I got medicine for. Five days and those nasty things will be gone. I have not felt like eating because they have made me feel so bad. But, after a couple of days with this magic medicine, my appetite is coming back and I actually feel like eating and playing with my toys again. Now, let's talk about the other kind of worms I have. They say I have heart worms too. I'm going to start my treatment soon. They say I will have to be on bed-rest for several weeks. You just watch and see, being on bed-rest will give me that princess attention I love. Once all those worms are out of my heart, I will have more room to love of my new family. And my boxer spirit will come bouncing out of me. I will be the luckiest dog on earth. If you would love to meet a small beautiful young lady that would be me! I would also love to meet you. It would be nice to know that someone will be waiting for me after I'm completely healthy again and I can show you my boxer spirit.     'Hi! It's me, JigglyPuff stopping by to introduce myself and tell you a little about ME. I'm a young guy, maybe 2 or 3 years old. I'm a little guy, about 45 pounds right now, but my foster mom says I need to gain a couple of pounds. I'm not super skinny, but could stand to put on a little weight. Mom doesn't like seeing my hip bones. I have two fur brothers in my foster home and they are pretty cool. They share their chewies and toys with me and let me follow them where ever they go. They have an awesome big back yard and a doggy door so I'm getting to do LOTS of boxer burns. After being in the shelter for 9 long days, getting to ... (Read More)run and play on grass is like heaven to me. Mom says that I need to go see the vet and take care of some business before I'll be ready for adoption. She doesn't know anything about me other than how handsome I am and that I'm a very sweet boy. Hopefully everything will check out and I'll be ready to meet my new family in a couple of weeks! In the meantime, Mom says you should take a look at all of the other awesome boxer boys and girls that are already ready for a forever home. They deserve a chance too. Talk to you soon! JPuffy' Update: I've had my neuter and am recovering from that and a double ear infection. I'm also heartworm positive so I have to be treated for that before I can go home.     Hey Everyone, I'm Mick and I'm one mellow dude! I'm very stocky and HANDSOME and have the sweetest smooshie face. So I'm dog friendly and told I would be good with anyone, kids included but I never met a cat yet. I'm totally housebroken too. And I also have to go through heartworm treatment, so should be available around the end of July. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hey everyone! My name is Hashtag and I'm a spunky boxer boy who's been with LBR for a couple of months now. I'm full of silly puppy energy but foster mom tells me I'm very well behaved for my age. I know sit, down, shake (with BOTH paws, thank you very much!) and high five. Foster mom says my paws are super active so she put them to work. So how does a seemingly perfect boy like me end up with a rescue? I was surrendered by a family who no longer had the time to care for me. I didn't get any training when I was there so I was a bit of a wild child when I first got to foster mom's. She's been teaching me all kinds of good stuff and ... (Read More)I'm learning that ''Four on the Floor'' means I get pet more. I sure do love getting loved on! It's my favorite! I don't remember what happened, but when I was little something happened to me that left several scars. I have a big one on my right side and several smaller ones on my body. Part of my jowlies on the right side are also gone. Foster mom says chicks dig scars so it's all good, but some people have been afraid of me because I look different than other dogs. I don't know why a scar would scare someone off, but foster mom tells me I'm a stunning boxer boy and don't need to worry about those people. Foster mom learned the hard way that I don't like to be confined at all! You can ask her about the door I chewed through or the time I hurt myself really bad trying to break out of the crate. So, she leaves me out in the house with access to a dog door and I'm a perfect gentleman. I don't mess with any of her things but I have snagged a thing or two out of the trash so she keeps it in a different room now. I taught her something too! ha! I live with 4 other dogs and we get along great! None of them really like to play and they are older so I respect their space. I've loved just about all the other dogs I've met. The only time I'm nervous about meeting new dogs is when I'm on a leash. Foster mom says I'm a bit of a butt towards new dogs when I'm on a leash. We're working on that though! In my forever home, I'd love to have a playful dog to help burn off some of my energy. I need a family that understands my anxieties about being confined and is ok with me being out uncrated. Since I can be barky at times, I need a house vs an apartment. My family also needs to be able to continue my training so I can be the best dog possible. #hashtag #lbrfoster #lookingformyforeverhome ' See my complete bio at http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=3228 If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out our adoption application to begin the process at http://savetheboxers.com/adoptionapp.php. I still need to take the ''no more puppies pledge'' and be spayed, and then I have to go through heartworm treatment (YUCK!), but after that, I should be ready to find my forever home--sometime around the end of July.     'Helllllllloooooooo amazing wonderful Boxer lovers....here I am...Sister Bertrille....I have been given this name because everyone said I look like Sally Field's Flying Nun character.... her name on the show was Sister Bertrille.....my FM (Foster Mom) said it fits me perfectly!!! My life now is A-mazing....I have a warm bed, awesome food, water and two fur-siblings....I do like puppies, but I have not been introduced to any kitty cats since I have been at my FM. I did okay with introductions to my fur siblings...but I prefer those introductions to be slow.....I am a Silver and that qualifies me to be picky with my introductions....but once ... Boxer    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'6/1/16 Vance has begun HW treatment and has at least 3 more weeks to go on recovery. He is a handsome, calm, sweet boy who has probably never really played with another pup, but he has been very friendly and interested in dogs he sees. So, he may be great with a dog buddy, but doesn't need one. Mr Calm is also super gentle about taking treats from our hands. He loves to go out to walk and is pretty much a dream on the leash. Boxer    Age: Adult

' Beatrice is a very sweet older girl. She has been diagnosed with Cushings and is currently on medication to treat her symptoms. Due to the cushings disease she does not have a lot of energy. But, she does love attention and loves to snuggle. She knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. She doesn't get on the furniture unless invited. She gets along with other dogs, but doesn't have any desire to play. She does well with children of all ages. She's a very happy girl, little tail is always wagging. She is really a joy to have around.' See my complete bio at http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=3202 If you ...     My name is Reizo! I was rescued by Legacy along with my best friend foster Esme. Together we reside with an Old English Bulldog, a Pomeranian, and three other Boxers who I adore. I'm extremely gentle and calm natured, but I love to play with anyone willing. My favorite playmate is Esme! I hope we can find a home together, but I'm also willing to find a new forever home on my own. I'm still learning new things, but I know my manners and how to be gentle when needed. I'm a true love bug! If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out our adoption application to begin the process at http://savetheboxers.com/adoptionapp.php. If ...     'Hello? Are you there? Hello? I can't see you because I'm blind. You'll need to speak up so I can find you. I also have a challenge getting around and can topple over easily so foster mom says we need to keep my surroundings clutter free. I wasn't always like this, at least that's what we all think. I was in a car one day and all of a sudden I was flying through space and slamming in to stuff. It seems to have messed my little brain up. The vet suspects I will always be this way. I'm supposed to see more vets to find out for sure. Until then foster mom says I can't meet anyone as we don't know my prognosis yet. Check back in because ... Animal ID: 15482Penelope (female)

Boxer    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello there, my name is Penelope! I sometimes go by Penny. I'm kind of fond of that. I feel like I'm one lucky Penny!! I had to be taken to the shelter because my senior owner and I had grown old together and he could no longer care for me. I am really wishing for my forever home. I think I would like to be in a home with kiddos 10 and older. I am an older lady and I am at an age where I want to eat my food and enjoy my chew bones in peace. I also think I would like to be the only dog in the house. Boisterous dogs can get on my nerves and I can get grumpy when telling them to calm down. I love, love, love people!! I got to go to Barnes ... (Read More)and Noble for wrapping presents and it was one of my happiest days! I adored all the attention!! I am so excited to see my foster people when they come home. I buck, spin and cha-cha my feet so they know how happy I have to see them! Like many of us who live in this area, I have allergies. It's easy to manage though. I gobble up my allergy pill when it is tossed in with my morning and evening soup (kibble with water in it). I also take a joint supplement so I can still have fun feel like playing. I like hanging out with people. I prefer to be where you are and like sitting with my back up against your leg. Even though I am an older lady and my face looks like it's been dusted with powdered sugar, I still get the zoomies and love it when you play with me. I love playing with toys too. I like to set them up on the coffee table and couch, pretend I can't see it, then grab them quickly and give them a shake. Going on walks makes me very happy. When I see the leash, I smile and get wiggly with excitement. This little sugar-dusted face lady would love to meet you and be your girl. Please ask to meet me, Penelope. Animal ID: 14203Lucy Lu (female)

Boxer    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

'I am called LucyLu and this is not my first rodeo with Legacy Boxer Rescue. About 9 years ago, when I was just a sweet young thing, I was rescued by LBR and adopted into a loving family. Throughout those years, my family loved me and took great care of me. In return, I was a loyal companion. I always used the outside potty place and obeyed commands, and could be counted on to remain at home quietly waiting for my people to come back. I was told over and over that I was a good girl. But those times home alone became longer and longer, and then my family found that -- even working with 15 hours some days -- they needed to move to an ... (Read More)apartment where I would be alone too much. My people decided Legacy could find me a better life and tearfully returned me in hopes I would have more people and dog time. I must admit, while I do miss my people, I really love canine and human companionship and I am having a really good time in my foster home. I play, play, play with my foster brothers and love to get hugs loving from my foster parents. I am called a ''Sliver Boxer'' because I am equivalent to human retirement age now. But, just like with humans, there are some very active seniors. I am one of those. I enjoy all the usual doggie things like Boxer play, walks, and of course couch cuddling. I am also an all natural woman -- I don't need plastic surgery to look elegant. I have my original tail, and ears and I have been complimented on my overall cuteness. So, that's me: fun, sweet, mature, healthy and great with other dogs and kids. The only thing missing from the total picture is my own family. If you'd like to meet me please let Legacy know!'     Hi! Kashi here. I am a very laid back, super happy older gentleman. I was returned to Legacy after being adopted 4 years ago due to circumstances out of my control. I was sad the first couple of days in my foster home, but I am back to being the nub wiggling, laid back, super guy I always am. I love all the people I meet, but I really love little people. I get along with every dog, big or small, that I meet. I ride very well in the car and love my crate. If I sound like your kind of guy, let my foster mom know and I would love to meet you!
