'Are you looking for the complete package? Then look no further! My name is Buddy and I've got it all - good looks, great personality, the energy of a 3 year old, love to snuggle'|the list goes on and on. I love everyone. I get along great with the other dogs at my foster home. I love to play with them and you will rarely see me without a toy. I love the skin kid who lives at my foster home. I like to take walks and explore the neighborhood and meet new people. I also love to go on rides and am very well behaved when I get to go in stores that allow dogs. My foster home has a doggy door so I can go outside any time I want. My ... (Read More)foster mom thinks I could be easily house trained if I'm not already. I do fine in the crate when my foster mom is at work but I worked my charm on her and convinced her to let me stay out with the other dogs while she's gone. My foster mom calls me a chameleon - she says I am whatever the people around me need me to be. I can be playful, I can be relaxed, I can jump in the car and run errands, or I can hang out at the house. Like I said, I've got it all! If you are interested in meeting me, give my foster mom a shout!' See my complete bio at http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2909 (Less)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'Hi, my name is Teddy. I am between 5-6 months old. I am all puppy, but my foster mom says I am very, very well-mannered for a puppy. I am learning sit and stay, and learning to walk on a leash'| I like to chew it while my foster mom walks me.. I am very playful, but I love my naps. I have not had any accidents in the house, and go outside to potty when told to. I have a long tail, which you normally don't see with Boxers, and it moves very fast when I wiggle. I have a foster brother & sister, and I love to play with them, sometimes too much. They get tired a lot faster than I do. I am very kid friendly, and I do not jump too much ... (Read More)on them. I just saw the vet, and I am up to date on all my shots. I still have to get neutered, which my foster mom will get that scheduled. I would say that I would be ready to start meeting families mid- to late April. ' See my complete bio at http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2900 (Less)

'Hi, I'm Tasha! I am a sweet and spunky 5 month old puppy. I get along great with my foster brother and sister, they are older and showing me how to behave while I bite their jowls and give them baths of kisses :) I do know how to potty outside and go to my crate, my mom is working with me walking on a leash...I'd never seen one of those things before! My mom thinks I'm pretty easy to work with as I just love treats and bones. If I have a new family to work with me on my leash skills she's hoping I'll turn out to be a great walking or running buddy. I have a long tail like a little monkey, I think that is different than most boxers, but ... (Read More)everyone says it fits my personality?! I do love to play like most puppies but I can entertain myself with a bone for a while or just snuggle up on the couch all day and relax. I just got a full check-up at the vet and I'm healthy and up to date on all my vaccinations...Legacy would like me to go in at 6 months to get spayed, but I'm available to start meeting families now! I just can't wait to start my new life with my new forever family, I have so much love to give!     Hello, and thank you for stopping by my profile. My name is JD, and I'm a 4-5 year old male fawn boxer. I'm about 55 lbs. and have the most adorable smooshed boxer face you've ever seen! My foster parents say I'm the sweetest and most gentle/calm boxer they know. There was some confusion about how old I am because I am so calm. I LOVE to cuddle! I am very well behaved, don't get jumpy (I like having all for 4 on the ground), and my kisses are gentle. I love playing with all my house siblings, fur and skin alike. I'm not too sure about cats. I've seen the cats I live with, but just stand there. They come up to me, but I'm not sure ... (Read More)what to think of them. I'm just looking for somewhere to hang my leash, forever. After the rough life I've had, I just want someone to hang out with and cuddle on. See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2890 (Less)

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

UPDATE: Lois Lane needs to get rid of some yucky heartworms so she won't be ready for adoption until the end of March.' 'Hi everyone! I'm Lois Lane and I'm looking for my real-life superman to fly me to my furever home. My foster mom says I'm the sweetest girl you will ever meet. I've met tons of dog friends and I love them all. I haven't met any kitties yet but foster mom thinks I'd be fine with them since I'm so laid back. I have a fur brother at my foster home and we get along great, although he wants to play all the time and I'm happy just hanging out. I get scared pretty easily but my foster brother is so brave and he shows me ... (Read More)that I don't have to be afraid of anything anymore. I'm getting braver and braver every day. Foster mom says I have a cute tongue that sticks out when I sleep. She keeps pointing this flashy thing at me while I'm sleeping, I haven't figured out why yet. I'd love to meet you some day, so if you're interested let the awesome people at LBR know! Lois Lane's foster mom here. This girl is an absolute dream! All she needs now is a furever family to treat her like the angel she is. She loves to snuggle and she would be perfectly happy laying next to you on the couch all day, especially if you give her head scratches. She is housetrained and goes out the dog door or rings the bells when she wants to go out. She walks right next to you on her leash and doesn't make a peep in her crate. She does fine when left free to roam the house, although she will counter-surf so don't leave your dinner unattended...she had to have one flaw, no one is perfect ;) ' See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2880 (Less)

Hey All - My name is Gino and I'm just starting to enjoy life. I'm told I'm extremely chill for young boxer boy - not jumpy at all but you will get some butt wiggles and nubbin wags out of me when I'm happy. I spent the majority of my 2 years living outside tied up and it was cold/hot out there not to mention no one ever paid any attention to me. Well, the nice people at LBR picked me up and they are in the process of fixing me up. No one bothered to give me heartworm preventative so I've still got to go through heartworm treatment and won't get to go to my forever home until mid-April or later. I was really scared when I first got to ... (Read More)my foster home because I didn't know what to expect but all is really great here. I'm inside all the time, except for potty breaks of course and learned the doggy door all by myself (only open when my foster mom is there). I'm a very good eater and am not aggressive with any of the resident dogs, but to be honest I'm not all that interested in them either - would rather hang with my foster mom. Mom says I'm mega sweet and actually begging for attention now and just started to experiment with toys. She allows me on the furniture but I'm currently just roaming the house while she sleeps - something about no more room in the bed. I sure wish I could sleep in bed though. I'm okay as an only dog but not so sure about apartments because I'll get a little vocal when something is going on outside. The leash is still something I'm not too sure about since it represents confinement in my prior life. I can be trained you know as I'm really smart even though I'm not very arrogant ;). The more love and patience you have to give, the more I want to meet you!!! See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2868 (Less)

Hi Folks! My name is Vander and I am 2, but will be 3 in just a couple of months. I am a little guy, weighing around 50 lbs., but I am a HUGE lovebug! I am dog friendly; I love to play with other pups! My foster home has a big boxer boy and him and I like to mouth joust, wrestle and play with toys. I am also kid friendly and cat friendly. I think I'm just a friendly guy all around! I am a little unsure of myself in my new surroundings, I was a total outside dog and now I live inside, so it's a big change for me. I am not a huge fan of my crate, but my foster mom is working with me and I'm slowly realizing it's not a bad place after ... (Read More)all. I can be a little shy and timid when I first meet new people, but I'll warm up if you give me some love%BD'%BD|or a treat. I am gentle and submissive; I look to my foster family and their boxer to take my cues. I am house trained and love to be outside in the beautiful sunshine. My foster mom calls me a wiggle worm, because I like to wiggle my way into your lap or arms. Since I was an outside dog, I contracted heartworms and now I have to go through a treatment to get rid of those nasty things, but I'll show them! I have been neutered and got all my vaccinations so I'll be ready to meet you soon. Please keep me in mind and if you want to meet me I'll be ready in March.     'I have been with my foster family about 2 months now. They think I am pretty awesome! My mom thinks I am pretty young'|probably between 11-16 months. I am a total love bug and super sweet. I have been great with the kids in my house. They are ages 2, 5, & 8. I still sometimes bump them or play bow and bark when I want to play. I have also been great with the dogs I have met. I met 2 dogs on my way to my foster home and made friends immediately. I have also been great with my fur brothers. I loved playing with my foster brother Rex racing around in the back yard and wresting for hours non-stop. I just chill with Charlie, a 10 year ... (Read More)old Jack Russell and sometimes I can get him to chase me around the back yard. My mom says I am house trained. I do pretty well in a crate too. Sometimes I will cry in it if I can't see you or need to go outside but I settle down fairly quickly. My mom worries about apartments for me since I have a lot of energy and can sometimes be unhappy in my crate. Each day I am getting more and more comfortable though. Right now I spend a couple of hours a day in the crate while my mom takes and picks up my skin siblings from school. I get to run around the house during the day while she is at home and she lets me out when I stand by the door. I have a great temperament too. I like to play but am not too rough and let others initiate play. I often entertain myself with toys but still have a lot of energy that I burn by going on walks or racing around outside. I am just as happy sleeping on my comfy dog bed or my mom's kitchen mats that are super comfy too. She thinks I am silly. I am have gained some weight since I have been here now that I am safe and have a place to rest, eat, and be loved. I am a good healthy weight now at 58 lbs. I have a good appetite since I play so much and am young. I had a bump removed on my head that was a benign cyst. They aren't too worried about it but removed it so I didn't bump it or so it didn't get bigger. I am even more handsome now believe it or not. I had pretty itchy skin too when I came into my foster home. Doctors said I had a secondary skin infection and some mites I needed to get rid of in my ears and on my skin. Hopefully I will be ready in about 3 weeks and will be good to go and meet people. My mom is going to make sure they get me all taken care of. My mom loves me and pretty much anyone who meets me thinks I am great. If you think you might want an energetic sweet pup then check back towards the middle of April and let your adoption counselor know you are interested in me. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

'(Hooper is currently working on some stranger danger issues and is not available at this time. We are hoping to have these resolved by the end of summer or sooner. Fingers crossed for my Hooper.) Hi my name is Hooper and this is my story.... Some good Samaritans saw that I was lost and alone and they gave me some shelter. My foster mom said that they posted my picture on Facebook and eventually my foster mom was tagged in the post to help save me. I was then picked up and taken to Dallas Animal Services to work out my stray hold in case my original owners were trying to find me. They never came for me but then my foster momma came to ... (Read More)the shelter and evaluated me. She approached my kennel but I wasn't too interested in her as so many people had already neglected me that I didn't have much hope. Then in the yard she kept following me, calling me, and once she got me she wiped my boogies and picked some bugs off of me. It was at that moment I knew she loved me. She then left the room and started talking to someone on this little black contraption. Next thing I knew she was putting a leash on me and putting me in her car!! I was so happy to leave that place. The people there were really nice but the other dogs were way too noisy and really needed to take a chill pill. Then we arrived at the new homestead. I have a super soft warm bed, food, water, friends, and I get tons of hugs and kisses every day! I have always been told that this is what Heaven would be like!! I was really sick the first couple of days with something mom called Kennel Cough. I got tons of meds, zero sleep, and lots of love and hugs! Now that I am healed and super happy I get to play with this new girl that looks likes me and throws some sweet boxer punches and some other small curly haired girl that mom calls her sweet poodle. I have gotten to get out of the house a couple of times and I get this cool contraption put on me called a harness, then we are off to the races! I get to see the entire neighborhood with all its sights, sounds, and wonders and now that I know I am not alone I really like going for walks! What a wonderful feeling that is!! I am learning how to be an inside dog. Mom says I have some training to do but I am super smart and will learn quickly. I start my heartworm treatment and rest on January 20th and then will be ready for adoption at the end of February. I already have a list of families waiting to meet me so if you contact my mom about me don't get too depressed if I am not available. She said I am a looker and very popular! My mom says that I need a home where there is not a lot going on. I get very anxious and nervous when people come over. I would rather it just be me and my people, however I am learning to accept new people coming over. I would also not like to be around little kids as they are unpredictable and I don't like unpredictable. Someone who just wants to cuddle and love on me all day, plus give me food and kisses is exactly what I am looking for. Please make sure to microchip and give your pets heartworm preventative!     Hi, my name is Shug. My name fits me well as that's what I do best - give ''shug-ar''! I am a very sweet 6 year old classy lady. I love snuggling with my people as well as doing my own thing in my doggie bed. I'm incredibly gentle around children. I love being petted and having my tummy rubbed and I have the softest fur. I do very well in the crate when needed and I don't potty in the house. I love walks and treats and playing with toy ropes. I know how to ''shake'' and ''sit'' and I'm learning more commands daily.     'Pretty Pepper Ann, that's me!! Who's looking for a happy, wiggly girl? I am a true beauty that hides her age well-no one believes I'm 7! Don't worry, I still have lots of energy for playing and wrestling. I dance and kidney bean with excitement but I am curious and gentle with little kids and love to sneak in kisses. I'm on the smaller size as far as Boxers go, but that doesn't keep me from playing rough with other dogs. And I love getting attention, but who doesn't? I know to 'sit' for my leash to get on/off and I enjoy going for a car ride. It used to make me really nervous but now I soak up the opportunity to sit and watch out the window. When I first came to live with my foster mom, my bladder was not happy. Thankfully, with the help of some medicine and a specific food, things have long since cleared up. My health history makes it important for my forever family to keep me on my current food; you want me to stay healthy don't you? It also would be great if I had a doggy door or someone to let me out midday. Of course it would be awesome if I had a stay at home parent to keep me company too! I am crate trained and house trained. I even behave when left alone, out of my crate. Who doesn't need a little Pepper Ann in their life? I'll be waiting, ready for my forever family, to love you and keep you company no matter what.     'When I first discovered Shae Shae she was sitting on death row at the shelter, her time was up! She was an owner surrender that had given her up because they no longer had time for her. While I had never met this sweet silver girl, I could not live with the thought of her ending her 9 years of life all because no one had time for her. Poor baby had already spent several days in the death room watching other dogs be put down. Shae Shae (Xi Xi) is Mandarin for thank you from the bottom of my heart, and this girl is indeed thankful. Her foster family consists of a 11 years old boxer sister named Cookie, a 2 years old deaf boxer brother named Prince George, a bearded dragon named Khaleesi, my husband known to her as Daddy, and me, Mommy. I did not get any monkey tail wags from her but she sure knew I was there to free her for she was ready to get into my car and hit the road. She sat quietly during the entire ride just watching the scenery go by. When we finally reached her new home, Cookie and George ran out to greet her and she greeted them back with a very lively monkey tail. She knew at that moment that her prior life was over and behind her and that her new life was beginning. Shae Shae has been apart of our family since October and she has opened up so much since our first meeting when she jumped into my car to be whisked away from the shelter. Shae Shae has severe arthritis in her hips and her elbows. From the life at her previous home and her being housed in a cage at the shelter, she had lost quite a bit of strength and flexibility. My husband or I had to help her up and own the porch stairs to go to the bathroom and she also needed help up and off the couch. Her poor legs where so unstable and she would wobble walking on anything that was not the solid floor. We got this poor girl on a diet and taking pain medications as well as supplements and walking every day. Now she is running around the yard playing with her fur siblings and she jolts up and down the stairs as well as climbs onto her favorite spot on the couch where she naps for hours and saws logs. I will now let Shae Shae tell you about her favorite things to do herself. ''Hello everyone! Thank you so much for reading my bio. I have been taught by my foster parents to be very gracious for the second chance at life that they have given me; and I am truly thankful from the bottom of my hear as my name means! I love the start of my days; my foster sister Cookie always greets me with tons of kisses! Foster Mommy then gathers us all up and we go for a mile walk in the country. We get to see cows, and turtles on the pong, and occasionally we see a deer! I just love to hop and a skip and a jump and a run! Mommy chases after me and says she is going to get my monkey tail but I am always one hop ahead of her. When we get back from our walk we get to do my favorite thing of all time, PLAY BALL! I may be 9 years old but I sure can run after that ball and sometimes I can still catch it in the air. I repay Mommy back by dropping the ball right at her feet. After ball playing it is treats (where I catch them all in the air) then nap time. Sometimes I nap outside in the sun but normally I nap on my spot on the couch. I would say that I have been given a great second chance at life.''' See my complete bio at http://www.savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2792 (Less)

'Hi! I'm such a sweet sugar-face they named me Candy. I was brought to a shelter after living in the back yard all my life ( 6- 8 yrs). My ''family'' was going to have me put down. I was so covered in ticks they couldn't tell if I had any other lumps/bumps or not. Well I am clean and tick-free now. There were so many blood-sucking ticks, it left me anemic, so I had to get my health back, have a benign tumor removed and undergo Heartworm treatment .Now, I'm all better and I can go home with you.My Fom ( Foster Mom ) is AMAZED at how much energy I have now, compared to when she 1st got me. When you talk to me and love on me, my little nubbin ... (Read More)moves the fastest you've ever seen. I like to rest on the couch with you and snuggle. If you let me, I'll sleep in the bed with you.I can even jump up there myself now ! I'm not food- or toy-aggressive and I like everybody. Plus, I'm not jumpy, it's too hard for us older girls. Now that I am healthier, my Fom will help me lose a few pounds. I have a Fob ( Foster Brother) and we get along very well. I am very good about getting in my crate. Sometimes, when I see Fom putting on her work uniform, I just go ahead and put myself in the crate. I don't make much noise, so you have to ask me if I want out. Otherwise, I might just find a nice spot indoors to go, but I am learning that is not really people's favorite. ( I have never had an accident in my crate.) For a sweet ol' gal that never lived indoors till now, I've done great. If you feel you would be a perfect match for me, please contact your Adoption Counselor.'     Hey guys, My name is Victoria and I love nothing more than to please and play. I'm around 2 years old and man does my foster mom think I'm still a young playful pup. I like going for runs in the morning and walks in the evening with my foster mom. She says I do great on a leash and man do I get excited when I see the leash being grabbed. I get along great with my fur sister, who is 7 months, we are play, play, play non stop. I understand I have to share the bone with her without aggression but I do like to hide it and make it a game. I also believe I'm a giant lap dog so my host mommy is always sharing her lap with me if I'm not playing. ... (Read More) That big wire thing, well I'm learning.. It's not my favorite to go into however if your bribe me and offer me a little help, I don't cry or bark. Especially if you cover me up with a blanket but still allow me to see my fur sister. So far I haven't had any accidents in mummy's house, so she is thrilled. I'm as sweet as can be to any human I meet, I haven't met one I have had a problem with yet, sometimes I'm a little timid but can you blame me, some people are scary. My mommy says she is gonna have a hard time letting me go but she can't wait to find me my perfect family, especially if they have another dog because I love to play. Mommy said she will write more when she knows more, until then, I'm off to play for awhile and then cuddle. See my bio here: http://savetheboxers.com/available2.php?dogID=2697 (Less)

Hello. I am Hampton. According to the dictionary, 'Hampton' means 'home settlement.' I think that's interesting, since I am looking for a home to settle in. I am about 6 years old. I am house trained. I love kids! I am trustworthy in the house all by myself. ( I really don't care much for the crate, so I behave.) I don't even get on your furniture. I'm just an all around great guy. My foster mom says I am a love-bug and an all around sweet guy. **blush**. She is deserving of such respect and treatment. I would love a chance to meet a new family that could love me for life. You should know that in my pre-Legacy days, I did not ... (Read More)receive the care and treatment I needed, so I have to go through heartworm treatment. Since I arrived into Legacy's care, I have also had a number of bumps removed, and that's not uncommon for many boxers. However, I do understand that there is always a risk they will return. Legacy will provide all the information that they have on my medical care, history and treatment. I understand that Legacy has given me the very special title of 'Silver Boxer' which I display proudly on my bio page. Here is the link for the benefits that come with that designation. http://www.savetheboxers.com/silver.phpI should be ready to meet potential families sometime in late July. Please let my mom know if you would like to meet me. I would love to be picked by a family, especially if you have kids.     Osha came into #Legacy's care back in May of 2014. She was surrendered to a shelter deaf and in horrendous condition due to untreated mange and severe neglect that caused massive skin infections along with a rapid decline of her immune system.     'What do you get when you cross a boxer's woo woo with a cat's purr and a piggy's squeal? You get my signature sound. HAHAHA! It's the funniest little noise. Hi there! My name is Martha. My foster mama calls me Martha Jean. I'm a very sweet 11 year old gal who is looking for her forever home. I found myself at a shelter and I can't really tell you how I ended up there. It's a mystery to me. I'm as sweet as can be. I love to wiggle my nubbie and I smile all the time. My little ears perk up when my name is called or there is mention of cookies. I love cookies. Yum yum. I wiggle and smile for cookies. Do you like to dance? I love to dance. ... (Read More)I prance around and dance a little jig when it's time to eat. I'm a good girl and always clean my bowl. I also help clean everyone else's bowls too. No dog food goes to waste with me around, that's for sure! Sometimes, when I lay down for a nap I have a little bit of incontinence, so I have to take medicine for that. It's not a big deal. I take the medicine willingly. It's like an extra snack and I'm happy to oblige. Also, you should know that I have heartworms. Due to my age, LBR decided to not put me through heart worm treatment. The injections would have been too painful and the recovery period too treacherous. So every month, I get a heart worm pill to kill the microflaria so no new baby heart worms can mature. I do very well with that and have not had any adverse effects. I am crate trained and potty trained. When I need to go potty, I ring the door bell to let you know. The only times I have ever had accidents in the house is when no one paid attention to the bell. I never mess in my crate. I get along marvelously with other dogs. I'm pretty laid back and I just love everybody. Sometimes, I need a little me time and I go lay down in my crate by myself. It's my Zen den. I'm looking for a snuggle buddy who will feed me cookies and love me the rest of my days. That's all I want. I don't ask for much. In return, I will smile for you and make you laugh all the time. Could my new home be with you? I'd love to meet you. I'll melt your heart. Guaranteed.     'Hello All, My name is Jennifer; my Foster Dad calls me Jenna Wenna or Jenny or Jen for short. My Foster Dad tells me that I am a gorgeous flashy fawn Boxer Lady with a beautiful brown coat and gorgeous brown eyes. He tells me that I weigh approximately 57 lbs. I am a very sweet Boxer lady, well that is what my Foster Daddy tells me. ;-) My Foster Dad tells me I am very loving and that I enjoy giving what he calls endless kisses. He says I Kidney bean like crazy when I ... (Read More)am excited and when my people come home. I love, love, love to play with toys and I like to carry them all over the house. I play with one toy, then another, and another. He calls me a serial toy player. I have some physical challenges that were caused by what we suspect was a car accident. However, my foster Dad says there is no way to know that for sure since no one saw my accident happen. You see, I had x-rays, whatever those things are and they showed I had 3 breaks in my hip area. I have somewhat limited use of my back right leg. I am getting stronger every day and have regained about 80% of the muscle mass in my back right leg. I am pretty sure that is due to love, good food, rest, and a ton of play with The Boxer Gang. My Foster Brothers Sky and John love to play with me. Of course I don't let my hip challenge slow me down. However, due to my back hip/leg stairs are very dangerous to me and I need to go to a home without stairs. I love to play with my foster brothers and sister and chase them all over the house and yard pretty much every chance I get. I like to play so much with them that my foster Dad says that my forever home needs to have a play partner as I would be somewhat lost without a four legged friend. I love people and I love snuggling with my Boxer foster brothers and sister. I love to sleep next to my people in bed and I settle down quickly and don't move until my people get up in the morning. I do love to sleep or rest on my back with all four paws facing the ceiling. My foster Dad says that I am silly. ;-) I may give a few kisses before I settle down to sleep, what, I like kisses. ;-) My Foster Dad tells me I mind very well and listen very well if he asks me to stop doing something. I know sit and I am learning some other commands. I am house trained and I will let you know that I need to go out by ringing the poochie bells or hitting my paw against the back door. If that doesn't work, I will sometimes go look for you. Also, I am crate trained and I settle down very quickly after I go into the crate. I am usually sitting nicely when my foster Dad comes home to let me out. That is all for now, I hope to meet you soon.     Hi. I'm Tara. Thanks for reading about me. I may be a little older then some of the other kids at LBR that you may read about, but I still have so much energy and love to give.
